Eagles Trade Carson Wentz to Colts: Quarterback roulette continues in the NFL. The Philadelphia Eagles traded Carson Wentz to the Indianapolis Colts for a 2021 third-round pick and 2022 conditional second-rounder that could become a first. The condition is whether Wentz plays at least 75 percent of the team's snaps (70 percent if Indy makes the playoffs). It'll be interesting to see how much time Wentz holds a clipboard instead of a football during games that aren't too close.

Brian Burke as President of Hockey Operations: Less than 2 weeks after Jim Rutherford surprisingly resigned, the Penguins dramatically reshaped their front office with a pair of hires. Ron Hextall, a fiery former goalie and a member of the Philadelphia Flyers Hall of Fame, fills the vacant G.M. spot. Brian Burke was hired in a newly created position as president of hockey operations.

Dallas Mavericks have stopped playing national anthem before home games at owner Mark Cuban's direction: Cuban, who declined further comment, made the decision after consulting with NBA commissioner Adam Silver. The Mavericks did not announce the change in policy, but the national anthem has not been played before any of their 13 preseason and regular-season games at the American Airlines Center this season.

Rescue Dog Charity Begun by WTA Tennis Player: The NFL Pickem champion Truthhurts asked that a charity donation be made instead of sending him an official NFL football. A donation is being made to A Lending Paw, a charity begun by Jessica Pegula, a WTA tennis player and the daughter of the owners of the Buffalo Bills and Sabres. The group rescues dogs and trains them as service animals for people who need them.

EA Sports is Returning to the College Football Game: EA Sports is going to release a new edition of NCAA Football for the first time since 2013. There's still a lot up in the air, including a launch date that won't happen this year, but the name is going to be EA Sports College Football. For now there will be no real college players named in the game, but that may change. Connecticut Sen. Chris Murphy said he's going to introduce legislation to allow players to license their names.
