SportsFilter is a community weblog founded in 2002 where anyone can contribute a sports-related link and participate in discussions. The range of topics covers anything in the world of sports, from football, baseball, soccer, and the Olympics to sports personalities, culture and the impact of sports on society.
The site is published by Rogers Cadenhead. Gary Ryan assists with comment moderation and Kirk Franklin helped with the web design.
If this is your first visit, we encourage you to stay awhile and explore the site. Take the time to check out a few links and get a feel for the community. Think you might want to join in on the discussion? Become a member.
SportsFilter members can post links to the front page, leave comments, and customize the site's appearance and content. Becoming a member requires a sense of responsibility for the site. To understand what a quality link entails, check out our link guidelines. To learn more about what's expected of members, read the new user message.
Have a suggestion to make SportsFilter better? Feel free to contact us with suggestions and discuss the site with other members in the Locker Room.
The site was founded by Cadenhead, Franklin and Ryan with four others, E.J. Park, Michael Lescour, M.S. Acheson and Oliver Willis as the first community weblog devoted to sports. The seven founders developed the site using code developed by MetaFilter publisher Matt Haughey.
