Bruce Arians Steps Down as Bucs Coach, Todd Bowles Steps Up: An NFL offseason full of big news just got another stunner: Bruce Arians has stepped down as Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach and will be replaced by his choice of successor, team defensive coordinator and former New York Jets head coach Todd Bowles. The iconoclastic Arians feared if he quit later a different coach might come in and fire a lot of the staff. "My wife is big on not letting all those families down," Arians said.

Massage Therapist Describes Session with Deshawn Watson: Sports Illustrated interviewed a massage therapist who hasn't sued him but does accuse him of highly inappropriate sexual behavior during a session. She said, "There are so many people that are against us, saying, ‘Why would he do that? He has no reason to do that. He has a beautiful girlfriend; he has this, this, this and this.’ All of those things are true, but fame doesn't create character."

Heckler at Indian Wells Rattles Naomi Osaka: A heckler who yelled "Naomi, you suck!" during her second-round match at Indian Wells left Naomi Osaka visibly shaken Saturday. She asked the chair for permission to address the crowd during the match -- which would've been unprecedented -- and was denied. After she lost 6-0, 6-4 to Veronica Kudermetova, Osaka was given the unusual opportunity to speak to the crowd despite losing.

Woman Files Suit Claiming Jerry Jones is Her Father: A 25-year-old woman has filed a lawsuit claiming Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones is her dad and he paid $375,000 to her mother to require her to never reveal this fact. Per the suit Jones found love at the American Airlines ticket counter in Little Rock. Alexandra Davis wants to be recognized as his kid and freed from the confidentiality agreement.

Deal Reached to Trade Russell Wilson to Broncos: The Seattle Seahawks are trading quarterback Russell Wilson to the Denver Broncos for a "massive haul" of two first-round picks, two second-round picks, a fifth-round pick, quarterback Drew Lock, tight end Noah Fant and defensive lineman Shelby Harris.

MLB Will Ban the Defensive Shift: The defensive shift is no more. The players have given the league permission during lockout negotiations to ban it in 2023. "There are few plays more frustrating for a baseball fan watching on TV than when a hard-hit ball up the middle — seemingly a base hit — ends up being a routine ground out because the defense had the third baseman camped behind second base," writes Andrew Joseph of USA Today.

Stanley Cup Playoffs Get New Branding: The Stanley Cup Playoffs are getting a new logo after 13 years. Here's the old one for comparison. The NHL has a microsite illustrating the changes, which include a more photorealistic cup and a font inspired by the Windsor Hotel where the league was founded in 1917.

New York Governor Backs New Bills Stadium: A deal for a new Buffalo Bills stadium should be reached by the end of March, New York Gov. Kathy Hochul said. The new stadium will cost an estimated $1.3 billion to build and the Bills want the public to pay 60 percent of it. There's no stadium design decided yet for the facility that could open in 2026. The Buffalo News covered some possibilities in December.
