To think that anyone would think of him as less of a man is ridiculous. If anything he is is more of a man to stand up and use his celebrity to help address the issue. He was incredibly courageous to come forward with something so personal.

I don't know about the woman being at fault. My mother was abused by my father and the reason it took her so long to leave was because he controled her every move and manipulated her. He told her she had no options in life and no one would help her. She married at 17 and had no idea what to do. I agree some women should know better, but many are too scared shitless to do anything. It's a shame. As for all people of all income do it, yeah they do. But it's not highlighted, and they aren't a many young boy's role models who want to emmulate them. That's the difference.

Is it just me, or does anyone else find it slightly disturbing that athletes assault the women in their lives? Maybe it bothers me more seeing as how I am a female, I agree wit dyams. Role models my ass....

WHAT THE FUCK IS WITH ALL THE BITCHING??!! All that should matter is that there is aid to all those who are suffering. Sure I can't stand T.O, hey it might be a publicity stunt, but who cares? If it is a publicity stunt, he will get his in the end, lets focus on those in need instead of constant bickering.

It's nice to see athletes let go of their egos and lend a generous helping hand. Thanks Shaq.

Well I personally can't stand the guy, but seeing as how my cousins live in New Orleans and now have nothing, I will give him the benefit of the doubt, this time.

I hope it makes players think before they play dirty. Sure some are accidents, but I don't know how many I have seen that were in intentional.

Look at the Wolves going from their 2003-2004 season to their 2004-2005 season. Thats example enough that there isn't much of a chance for them to be AS good as they were before. I wish them all the luck though.

Laid back hippie communists? Last time I checked thats not how mid-westerners are at all. Anyways, there is always going to animosity between the yankees and red sox. Stopping the use of a shirt is not going to help, if anything they will come up with something else.

Why does it seem like everyone wants to bring him down? Just let it go, I think he won fair and square. Of course they have to knock him down because he is uber-successful.

Since my school was so small, kids from other schools did exacly as daddisamm said, they played for us. As for Olsson, the rejection must sting, but it will only want him to be even more successful. I am sure with his work ethic by the time he is a senior he will be one of the best. Sometimes you have to fall first before you win. I actually feel bad for the coaches who have to face the kid and parents afterwords and try to explain their choices.

Well I am going to miss the endearingly ugly Cassell, but as for Spree, I hope he fails miserably in everything he does. One time my friend askd for his autograph and at first he acted like my friend wasn't there, and then he snapped at him because he didn't go fast enough. Way to appreciate your fans a**hole!!

Well if he really cared about the glove, he wouldn't have thrown it into the crowd when he had his hissy fit. If I was the fan I would just keep it or sell it on ebay. Screw Livan, it's his fault, he should deal with his temper instead of worrying about getting his glove back.

I think its a little different, a football team needs to communicate, its part of his job. Lets look at the word team, its supposed to mean unity, he obviously doesn't understand that concept. I know where you are coming from though, but working a 9-5 job is nothing like playing in the NFL, to me he has no excuses. You do because I am in the same position as you and I understand, but not him.
