Olympic protocol: In the past we have strived to not give away event results for at least 24hrs in order to give those who connot see events live to watch replays w/o knowledge of results. As of this time I''m able to watch those events important to me live most of the time. It did come to my realization yesterday as I was watching the US France soccer match I really wanted to say a few things but by biting my stylis I refused. Should this consideration be reiterized by the pantheron or are we finally to the point it's understood.
Ps. Live preview not working on my iPad1 using suffery (safari.)

Global Village Basketball: June 10, 2009: In 2002 I posted the beginnings of an idea to link together a bunch of pickup basketball games through the internet into one meta-game as my first (and only) column to SportsFilter. Though it looks much different today from that original concept, the event -- Global Village Basketball -- is finally here and it will be held for 24 hours this Wednesday, June 10.
March Madness Chat: I created a March madness room on the campfirenow site and am idling away on the #sportsfilter chat in case anyone is watching the tournament and want some company. For more information, check the wiki entry on sportsfilter chat.

EPL Gamblers: So I've followed the EPL for a few years & being a gambler I want to start betting a few games. This week, teams like Man City (bet $100 win $285) vs Chelsea & Aston Villa(+250) v Tottenham seem like good bets. Any advice or for that matter interest in a weekly EPL pick 'em.

"Jerry had all his pitches working today: the fastball, the slowball, the ball that starts fast and then slows down right before it reaches the plate, and the breaking pitch that starts down the middle and then slowly curves 15 feet outside as the batter begins his swing,"

Couple football related questions....: If a WR laterals after catching a pass to another player who goes for a score, is the QB credited with a TD pass? Then, if a ball is fumbled, is any advance from the offense after picking it up considered rushing yards for that player? (and would that make a difference between, say -- a fumbled snap and a ball getting jarred loose down the field?) Thanks.
EPL Saturday: I am on the Campfire and IRC rooms, and am all alone as I get sporadic updates of Manchester United beating Arsenal. Please join me?
