Champions League Footie Chat: Big football game and no one is in either chat room. *sigh*
Was watching the game with some mates. I tried the chat room thingy during the world cup and found I wasn't following the game properly so I stopped.

I completely understand the "can't watch the game and type at the same time" reply. Some can't do both at the same time. It's easier if one touch types, but worthless if you must look at the laptop screen. ... completely mad if one is using a desktop. Multitasking isn't everyone's cup of tea either. I just like the companionship sometime when I'm sitting in my mountain side home and no one with whom to watch the match. Also, I am often times in the chat rooms while i "watch" a match via web-based text updates because I have no other options. If I'm lucky someone who has the game video available will stop by and chat, thus allowing me to ask questions about calls. *shrug* Was a good match despite the sloppy conditions and late antics that come with passionate play and an even score.

I presume you'll be hanging out in there during Eur08 then? It looks like we won't get the chance to shout "Cisse!" however.

What are the matches peeps are most looking forward to? I'm liking the Netherlands v. Italy, Spain v. Russia, Czech v. Portugal, Netherlands v. France, France v. Italy of course....But I think those are the obvious choices...Any sleeper teams worth checking out early?

I don't know if they're a sleeper team, garfield, but watch out for Germany. Their game against Croatia should be interesting and with the tournament right next door, they're almost playing at home.

The Italians just lost Cannavaro, which is a huge blow.

The Italians just lost Cannavaro, which is a huge blow. And Vieira possibly out for the French. I'd feel even better if Seedork didn't back out and Babel didn't get hurt. Anyone else up for the fantasy?

Was busy watching the game. The best news I had out of it was winning Spofi's CL Fantasy league. That and watching three of my least favorite players bottle it in some way or another. Congrats to Man U... worthy champs as much as it galls me to say it.
