Could Alabama beat an NFL team?: According to Ye Olde Ball Coach (Steve Spurrier) the Crimson Tide could beat the Jacksonville Jaguars. ESPN's Mike Golic says no way. 1934-1976 theCollege All-Star Football Classic was played between the NFL champions and a team of star college seniors from the previous year.

Olympic protocol: In the past we have strived to not give away event results for at least 24hrs in order to give those who connot see events live to watch replays w/o knowledge of results. As of this time I''m able to watch those events important to me live most of the time. It did come to my realization yesterday as I was watching the US France soccer match I really wanted to say a few things but by biting my stylis I refused. Should this consideration be reiterized by the pantheron or are we finally to the point it's understood.
Ps. Live preview not working on my iPad1 using suffery (safari.)

Pryor included in NFL draft, must sit out 5 games: Terrelle Pryor will have an opportunity to pursue his NFL dreams, with one significant caveat: The former Ohio State star must still pay for breaking NCAA rules while he was in college.

^^^if that is directed at me phaedon please explain cause i don't think I used vitriol (or anything else for that matter) to show anything...comming from three generations of Methodist ministers on my fathers side having two uncles who were also ministers on my mothers side and having attended a private christian academy from seventh to eleventh grade im well awear of how evangelical christians or evangelists are to spread the word of god to the masses. And if Tim T. is avoiding this church purely to avoid controversy and improve his standing in the locker room or to increes his chances for a trade then yea I have a problem with is belief system.
Has nothing to do with whether I think I'm smart (I don't) or if i think others arnt so smart (not my place).

Tim Tebow has dropped his appearance at a Dallas church run by a pastor who rips on gays, Mormons and Muslims.
From the article... "While I was looking forward to sharing a message of hope and Christ's unconditional love with the faithful members of the historic First Baptist Church of Dallas in April, due to new information that has been brought to my attention, I have decided to cancel my upcoming appearance. I will continue to use the platform God has blessed me with to bring Faith, Hope and Love to all those needing a brighter day. Thank you for all of your love and support. God Bless!"
So Timmy T doesn't want to share his version of Faith, Hope, and Love with a congregation of folks who seem to have no love, no hope and no faith in/for those who believe differently than they do. Are not these the folks god would want him to use his 'platform' to reach?

It seems Patric has the 'look', godaddy and others are looking for (personally she isn' in my top 10 of cuties)she should bring in the bucks now, retire early, filthy rich, manage your $$ and do as you like.
Good on her for winning the pole, she is now eligible to run what ever they call that Sat. race now.
I've seen Johanna Long race several times here in Pensacola and she has two SnowBall Derby wins once beating Kyle Bush on her way to VL. I believe over time J Long will have a better overall NASCAR career than D Patrick. Just my biased opinion on the local driver.

The megachurch pastor reserves some of his most stringent rhetoric for gays and lesbians. Arnt Lesbians Gay? Or did I miss the memo He has described gays and lesbians as "perverse," "miserable" and "abnormal" people who engage in an "unnatural" and "filthy practice" that will lead to the "implosion of our country." Jeffress argues that the gay community employs Chinese "brainwashing techniques" in order to have homosexuality "crammed down our throats."
Ok now I've had things "crammed down my throat" before but never any Chinese (brainwashing techniques that is)

The point is that even when we don't know we're causing hurt, it's still on us to mitigate the amount of hurt we might cause. Once we know we're harming other people, it is abundantly clear that the human thing to do is to change from a hurtful stance to a helpful one. It is how great civilizations are made -- we often take for granted that we live in a civilization that already exists, when in fact we are still working to build our civilization every day -- by making things better for the next guy we make things better for all of us.
May well be the best paragraph i read all year...

SportsFilter: The Thursday Huddle
...I'm sure that you would appreciate that if a public person like Tebow were to speak at that church, it would in effect act as an endorsement of that church pastor's views.
It may very well do so, I'm just not sure that that should be a legit reason to avoid speaking there...
If the people at that church want to hear what he has to say, let them travel to a place less bigoted to do so. No reason for that asswipe of a pastor to reap any collateral rewards from Tebow's presence.
I like that idea
