Olympic protocol: In the past we have strived to not give away event results for at least 24hrs in order to give those who connot see events live to watch replays w/o knowledge of results. As of this time I''m able to watch those events important to me live most of the time. It did come to my realization yesterday as I was watching the US France soccer match I really wanted to say a few things but by biting my stylis I refused. Should this consideration be reiterized by the pantheron or are we finally to the point it's understood.
Ps. Live preview not working on my iPad1 using suffery (safari.)
By the way:
* spoiler alert*
The Opening Ceremony was embarrassing rubbish. I haven't seen it, I just know it will be.

I think that if you go on a sports discussion site during the Olympics, you lose all right to complain that Olympic events are being spoiled willy-nilly. I mean, I love you people, but I am capable of staying the hell away from the SpoFi button on my bookmarks bar.

Yeah, I think in this day and age if someone is truly interested in not getting results for a sport event they should use self-control and not look at the Internet, and especially not website dedicated to sport.
I do this often during footie season because I record Premiere League games to watch at more convenient times. If I learn a result then it is my own fault.
That all being said I promise to not reveal any Olympic results ... because I highly doubt I will be watching.

People can spoil away as far I am concerned. In fact, it just might help to motivate me to tune in specifically to watch that event that night.

I don't recall us holding results in the past, but it's not the standard at present.

From what I've seen on the replay, the Opening Ceremony looked OK.
/Takes it back.

It looks like the skeet shooters beat the swimmers eleventy to nothing.

That explains the state of the pool.

Usually when events are on in Europe I used to think Australia was the worst time zone to be in. I'm now a further 3 hours behind Australian Eastern and I reckon that I won't be able watch any events live without compromising my sanity.
The opening ceremony starts at 2.30 am, so my local sports bar isn't an option. All the good stuff will be on in the London evenings, therefore I'll need to set the alarm and miss a good few hours of sleep.
I'm also watching them with a choice of Khmer, Thai or Vietnamese commentary.
/Rant
