If the presuppositions that have hitherto been current are to melt away in a full dissolution, they must not be dissolved into a higher presupposition again - a thought, or thinking itself, criticism. For that dissolution is to be for my good; otherwise it would belong only in the series of innumerable dissolutions. I'm with Max on this one

I've only just signed up to gmail. If I do get any invites, is there anyone who is still interested?

I would offer to share my music, but I think I've been snared. I was downloadinga Thrills track. Took me a whie to find a copy. Finally d/l'ed it and decided to play it. Instead of music the "mp3" took me to a Microsoft page which politely told me I had been taken to that page because I had d/l'ed a cd track from another user without a licence. Think I'll leave the p2p alone for a couple of weeks. Shame, I wanted the Killers CD :-( P.S. Squealy, i have my own gmail a/c, so ner :-P

2 teams each dear boy. One in the top flight and t'other in the lower league.

posted by kWaCkY at 01:01 AM on May 19, 2004

Depends on the game and the opposition. Fans don't expect to see a full blooded affair but they do want to be entertained. You normally get a near full strength team at the start of the game but nuerous substitutions in the second half, including former players. If a lower league team plays a Premier team then the lower team fans will want to see the stars/big names. That help?

Thank's all. Not bad going for my first season. As the graph shows I had a shit start but unlike Man United I managed to hold it together (just) until the end, despite selling Henry before his hat-trick. A big "Big Up" to Squealy for second place. A massive "Hear Me Now!" to taupe for all his hard work. It's been appreciated. Now where's me fecking trophy?

Missed penalty Inswinging corner from right by-line taken left-footed by Hugo Viana (Newcastle) to centre, foul by Paul Ince (Wolverhampton) on Gary Speed (Newcastle). Power penalty taken right-footed by Alan Shearer (Newcastle) (bottom-right of goal), save (parried) by Paul Jones (Wolverhampton). Could that clinch me the title?

I stayed with friends in Cardiff. Cardiff offers plenty to do. You can mix with the riff raff or enjoy a civil drink. The main street is full of bars and clubs. You can go to Cardiff Bay for a quieter time. Pubs and clubs are open until late and are usually friendly enough. Lots of hotels and guest houses so you should be alright if you book now. Squealy is spot on about the stadium. It's what Wembley should have been. Chuffin FA.

I can't do much this weekend as Blues play Arsenal and there's a rumour that Wenger is saving his big boys for the Champions league Ah well, top 6 isn't too shabby for my first season :-D

Seconded matey. Much appreciated. I dumped Henry just to make the title race more interesting. Honest ;-)

sport. A sporting chance. Same rules for both sides. Level(ish) playing field. A game can be enjoyed by just one of the participants. Cats play games with mice.

Not a sport and certainly not athletes. Underworked and over priviliged snobs who send 50 starving hounds onto some farm land to corner then rip to pieces an animal just in case he might eat a chicken. If they want sport, why don't they put the "hunters" in a field with the hunt sabs and let them go at it? I'll pay good money for that.

posted by kWaCkY at 09:48 AM on April 07, 2004

and now Henry is out for 2 weeks :-( I can see me doing an Arsenal

posted by kWaCkY at 03:44 AM on April 07, 2004

with a game in hand for Matt Holland and some other guys It means that all teams have to play the same number of games. Charlton, Manchester United, Arsenal and Portsmouth have played one game less than the rest of the league. So at some point in the seaason, those of us with players from those teams, will be picking up some points when the postponed games are played.

20 sounds good to me. I broke a wrist bone stage diving. Ran the length of the stage, jumped, missed the pit and bounced off the floor. Good job it was my left wrist. Forssell as captain. Stroke of genius ;-)

posted by kWaCkY at 01:16 AM on March 29, 2004

I'm a bit releuctant to order the champagne. BCFC seem intent to fuck up any chance of scoring points from the defence and now Forssell is injured.

I thought the BCFC games against Boro and Bolton would be in another week and therefore made my team changes too late :-( Shit 'appens On the plus side I've improved my Finnish and can now say "Mikael Forssell" with the correct levels of drunken affliction

A: You have to have a full squad of 15 including a spare goalkeeper. Buy really cheap subs, you rarely use them

posted by kWaCkY at 01:02 PM on February 13, 2004

Erm, I currently have more points ergo I'm ahead :-) Not sure about the penalty points, I'll take you're word for it. I know that early in the season I twice did some wholesale changes which cost me dearly but since then I've tried to stick to one transfer per week.

posted by kWaCkY at 01:20 AM on February 11, 2004

In simple non-managerial terms, I fucked up. I thought I would sell Saha on the basis that either a) the pressure would get to him or b) he wouldn't play every week balls added to that was an AWOL midfield, defenders and goalies lettting the other side score just for the sake of it and 2 goal shy forwards and you have the making of a shite week points wise. /me walks off muttering something about a race not a sprint and boys in the park

posted by kWaCkY at 12:26 PM on February 10, 2004

Taupe, as I type we are joint top of the league, but your team is doing well with 3 players yet to play. Looks like it's going to be close.

sounds like a good idea to keep people sharp, how about we put the new people in Div 2 but we have two promotaions/relegations a season? One mid way (say after Christmas) and the other at the end of the season? New leagues to be set up next season. 3 up 3 down?

posted by kWaCkY at 01:13 AM on January 17, 2004

Cheers. I've made a couple of transfers so next week I'll be losing points before I start. I'm predicting that Saha will lose his form for a while as speculation about his future grows. Watch him get a hat trick next week :-(. It's worth taking a gamble on the lower leagues forwards as the lesser teams try to fight for survival in the Premier League.

posted by kWaCkY at 01:31 AM on January 12, 2004

Beginners luck mate. That's what I'm saying for now. If I win then it'll be down to skill, knowledge and the ability to wing my way through anything ;-)

I heard about your Stalingradesque fight back. Seeing as it's my first season, I'm aiming for survival. Europe would be a bouns and top spot my rightful position ;-)

For those of you who have McEveley in your squad, don't forget to change the order of your subs, a couple of key players are injured today and aren't showing as such (yet) on the team sheet.
