Finally with the EPL Fantasy League Week 27 and the updating. Big congrats to the unknown David Hansen, whose Rings of Saturn have won February by a single point over Kwacky's Kwitters, who lead the big table by five points and whose 60 tied etrader's 60 for the best of the week. Mikael Forssell and guys named Taylor were the key, witht he extra game (as shows the Team of the Week, which contains Birmingham and Middlesborough players almost exclusively); another 11-fixture gameweek approaches, so adjust your rosters accordingly and bla bla bla. (more inside)

At least I made some ground up on those immediately ahead of me. Have we determined where we're making the relegation Fantasy EPL cut yet? I feel dirty being on the (potential) cusp.

oooh, excellent fade to relegation table colouring effect!

Wow, I've been in the top half of the table for three months in a row. too bad my disastrous start still has me stranded in the relegation zone.

Whilst it appeared to be a decent gameweek for me, it was in fact marred by a disasterous series of bad decisions. 1) Get spooked by rumour of Saha injury and swap him for Defoe - cost 4 points. 2) Fail to buy Tebily in double gameweek on account of said transfer - cost 8 points. 3) Determine that Henry is likely to score more points in one game than Forsell in two and make him captain - cost 8 points. 4) Leave Craddock on bench - cost 6 points. I coulda been a contender ma. *sobs*

There, there, squealy, there are still ten weeks to go, and everything to play for. btw, I scored decent points but am still stuck at #9. But I gained some ground on the people above me. And I feel good with my team this week. I was actually OK with only having one trade this time. Good luck this weekend!

McCoy Tyner show One of the coolest reasons for being late I've read on the 'net.

I thought the BCFC games against Boro and Bolton would be in another week and therefore made my team changes too late :-( Shit 'appens On the plus side I've improved my Finnish and can now say "Mikael Forssell" with the correct levels of drunken affliction

with the correct levels of drunken affliction Isn't that a Scottish Irish Welsh English British Isles thing, kWaCkY?

I did think Brits were the only beer tourists until I went to Estonia. 4.5m Finns got to Tallinn each year just to get pissed, and boy do they get pissed.

I think we agreed on the top 20 making it didn't we?

My concession speech is in the editing stages. 0-0 between Tottenham and Newcastle?! I give up.

I thought it was top 15, then top 16 when more people joined. 50-50 split. ANyway, what happened to this week? Talk about upsets. Man.

I thought we agreed Top 20 Premiership and then recruit a few new members to have a bigger First Division.

Was ManUre crap today or what? Just finished watching that and except for being really sad for Timmy, what a laugher especially the second half. Then again, WTF was up with LFC? Kirkland breaks another bone in training and Owen misses another PK? Bring on Cisse, bring on Okocha, bring on O'Neill. At this point, even UEFA Cup qualifying is not looking like an easy achievement for the Reds!

Glad I didn't have any Viler players in my team. :-(

I don't remember an agreement, just a bit of sulking.

Liverpool look well on their way to victory. 2-0 up at half-time with Portsmouth getting ZERO shots on goal! Too bad I didn't pick Owen.

Yeah, those 18 points from Owen (as my captain) in the first half feel pretty good.

Owen scores again. I smell bonus points.

I dunno man, a lot of people had really strong weeks. My squad's at 71 for the week though. Been a while since I crossed that threshold.

71 is an excellent score. I don't think I've ever hit the 70s. But 3-0 to Liverpool it is, and 2 goals for Owen. Yeah! btw, SF and bill, check this online offering of Liverpool stuff. $77 for a jersey? Man! For that money, I could buy me the official Liverpool history video set and this blue cap. And this beanie.

English kit in America has always been pricy, WC, which is why I treasure my Owen jersey from those long-ago, still-employed dot com days. Cuban got the Mavs, I got my #10 LFC jersey. And Owen rocked today!

Make that a 75, still only good enough for 3rd on the week. That's okay, I'm back in the top 15, safely(?) out of relegation, hopefully.

I bought an official Liverpool shirt with Harry Kewell's numbers on it soon after he joined Liverpool. Cost me quite a bit of scratch, but i'm not sure how much as it was in pounds not dollars.
posted by StarFucker at 02:48 AM on March 18, 2004
Well, the LiverpoolFC.TV site is having a sale on the kit: GBP24.99 which would be about US$50. Too bad I don't know anyone who's over there but coming over here soon. Heh.
