EPL Fantasy League Week 30: I think it's over now. Another week, another 72 points for Kwacky's Kwitters, who lead the table by 57 points over andy griffiths's bluebears and have just handily won March. A goal and a bonus for Henry plus Lampard plus everybody picking up not-really-injured Mikael Forssell meant high scores for quite a lot of people, most of all for 75-point week winner Fat Buddha. gspm also got 74. There's a five-week April and a three-week May left, with some fixture shuffling of note, so, uh...sign Mikael Forssell. (more inside)

Only once in my life did I ever attempt to stage-dive at a concert. It was many years ago. Damn near broke my skull open because there was exactly one person actually below me to catch me. The relevance of this little historical vignette should be immediately obvious. For next year's competition I'm thinking this: (1) We decide on 16, 18, or 20. (2) We invite that many teams into the "pantheon" league, setting some sort of deadline, and then replace no-showers at that deadline with "n00b"-leaguers in the order of the final table this year. Or we could say screw it and just have one big league again next year. If we're having two divisions, though, we need to vote on (1) first, and my vote's for 20.

20 sounds good to me. I broke a wrist bone stage diving. Ran the length of the stage, jumped, missed the pit and bounced off the floor. Good job it was my left wrist. Forssell as captain. Stroke of genius ;-)

Not a bad week for me, though having kwacky's almost psychic ability to pick the right captain would be a help. The upcoming gameweek should be fun, what with some of the bigger point-scorers not playing. Perhaps my squad system will finally pay off, but then perhaps not.

Balls, forgot about the FA Cup That's half of my squad out of action

posted by kWaCkY at 03:14 PM on March 29, 2004

Balls, forgot about the FA Cup What does it matter? All the teams will, by the end of the season, play the same number of games and all this does is affect the timing.

That's why kwacky's top and you're 18th bill. You need to think outside the box.

The internationals could mess up a few teams too.

I think even 20th position is out of reach for me, even though I've had a fantastic March.

If I cannot get in to the top 20 league, I would like to start a rookie league for the rest fo us. I have been trying to keep up. I might even get the football package once we move into our new house.

Good on you, jason. The rookie league, the house, the football package. Do them all! (We definitely would need a commissioner for the rookie/2nd Division league.)

I third the call for One Big League. All Together. More Snarkiness. More Teams. More. More. More.

Hey, I moved up this week. I think. There aren't any more games this week, at least where this league is concerned, right? Right? And, I'm up for one big league, too. One big loving snarky league. And no more yahoo! Bounders!

All right! After this week's matches I'm up to 21st place. I may just avoid relegation to the 2nd division after all.
