EPL Fantasy League Week 31 (beginning of April): The FA Cup semifinals delay the customary huge point hauls from Charlton and Portsmouth players to other gameweeks, leaving many rosters full of many holes. Could kWaCkY's pursuers take advantage? Well, Alan Shearer finally busted another 16-point move to help the three closest pursuers -- including week-winners Bayern Mucus (with 75) -- close a bit of the gap, but Kwitters still lead bluebears with a game in hand for Matt Holland and some other guys. I'm in the pre-fade group. w00t! So now wait, what exactly does "with a game in hand for Matt Holland and some other guys" mean? Asks the Texas boy.

And by the by, total props go out to Rings of Saturn who have made a scant 5(!) transfers all season long yet still remain in the top five. Impressive, that.

Won't this week be updated when ManUre and Arses play their postponed matches? Most of us have substantial roster bits from those two outfits.

For once, for just bloody once, I'd like to have an emphatic eye-popping score.

Pah! It's a fix I tells ya.

with a game in hand for Matt Holland and some other guys It means that all teams have to play the same number of games. Charlton, Manchester United, Arsenal and Portsmouth have played one game less than the rest of the league. So at some point in the seaason, those of us with players from those teams, will be picking up some points when the postponed games are played.

i gotta learn to pay attention to this pool EVERY week. getting a hit with three actionless arsenal players doesn't help but at least considering shearer as captain would have crossed my mind had I looked at the thing. and with arsenal playing two EPL games in three days next weekend I will assume that the three aresenal players I have won't give me two full games worth of points. that said, getting 22 points while sitting at the top of the table is even more grim.

Last week I wondered if my policy of having 3 playing subs would pay off this week. Well it did, they all played. Sadly though, they managed a grand total of 0 points between them; for the first time this season. Thanks guys. I *heart* Shearer.

picking a captain is fucking aggravating. ....and double kudos to rings of saturn....5 transfers is hella impressive.

I am aiming for the Tinkerman "Most Transfers" award.

Look at it this way, gspm: at least you won't have that problem with those players anymore this season.

heh, true. i am sure the arsenal players will be motivated from here on in.

I did an Arsenal last year... Oh the horror!

In the Champions League thing, I've just done an AC Milan.

that is better than doing an "I forgot I was in the pool and never changed any of my picks after the second set of teams were eliminated".

(well, maybe not since my mostly inactive guys seem to have outscored your fully active team)

oh BOLLOCKS Feck and ARSE I sell Henry and then he goes and has a scan to find out he's only got a niggle in his back and it's not his fecking hamstring IT'LL BE MORE THAN HIS FECKING HAMSTRING IF I LAY MY HANDS ON HIM Anyone want a title? I just threw a good one in the bin.

i'm sure you didn't swap henry for some worthless schlub. i was gonna swap him until i heard on the radio on my way home that he's possible or probable for liverpool so i guess i'll hang on to him. maybe that kind of thinking is what keeps me in 5th/6th though.

Well, that's the worst trade I've ever made. Henry (who would've been my captain) traded away on the week he scores a HAT-TRICK! Graaaaaaaaargh!

I'm glad I trigger shy. Too bad I thought Pires would pick up the slack in his absence. Oh well.

squealy's in first now, pending Everton-Spurs.

squealy should have made Henry captain, but he ain't complaining too much. Sad to say, I was sat with my finger on the captain button at 11.28am waiting in vain to hear an all-clear on Henry before the deadline, and chose Pires because I knew he was going to play.

My minor (very minor) consolation is that I picked Owen, who scored today. But we still lost to the Arsenal. :-(

I guess I picked a good week to have Graveson on the field and as captain. Fuck Henry and his three goals, though, the 'Pool rulez!

WC, I was looking at the match stats and wondering why Finnan was not in the Carragher slot and Henchoz in where Biscan was lying down.
