Don't post the ESPN or AP newswire version of the story; find articles from local newspapers or local blogs. If you can only find the not so obscure stories on ESPN/Yahoo/AP newswire, then maybe it's not worth posting. I am one of the guiltiest parties on this one. I work in a factory and don't get too much time in front of the computer. I usually scan through the stories, see something interesting, and post it. If I had more time to find the story in the local paper, I would. Sorry.

Speculate away

Hart: Crosby. Helluva player! Jack Adams: Ruff-Ruff! Norris: Lidstrom. Neidermayer a close second. Lady Byng: Pandolfo (8 PIMS for the season, come on!). Vezina: Flip a coin. Heads = Hasek, Tails = Brodeur. Calder: Staal. Led the league in shorthanded goals. As a rookie no less! Selke: Datsyuk (Lead the league in the regular season with 107 takeaways).

Happy birthday, rcade. Mine was last sunday (yeah, Easter Sunday). For some odd reason, I didn't really get to enjoy mine too much.

Happy Easter, everyone!

Ha. Chocolate bunny. I went in to my parents' bedroom where all the kids had gathered to watch tv and compare candy highs. I asked my son if he wants some ham. He turns around and there's a chocolate bunny head hanging out of his mouth and a wild look on his face and mumbles,
"NO DAD!" I slowly backed out of the room.

Thank you for clarifying, TBH. Let's not blow this out of proportion. The soldiers do what they're ordered to do. The soldiers are willing to pay the ultimate sacrifice to defend our country. If you're pissed, blame the politicians. God Bless Our Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, Marines, etc.

Burnside's top 25 free agents

**wingsfilter=on** With Jiri Fischer such a medical liability, I would like to see the Wings pick up Chara to bring back the physical presence. I agree with you about Shanny and Lidstrom, Weedy. As much as I love Shanahan, he did not show up in the playoffs. Lidstrom has to stay in Detroit, period. Goaltending FA's went down the tubes when Luongo got traded to 'Couver, but I think Gerber could be a good fit for the Winged Wheel. **wingsfilter=off** Roenick, I don't he can even command 2 million anymore. End of story. **wingsfilter=on** Pavel Datsyuk would love to have a teammate named Samsonov, dontchya think? Savard would be a nice addition, though. **wingsfilter=off** My crystal ball tells me that Elias will end up a Sen. Either that or he's trying to start a bidding war. Get past the drama and this man could be a heeee-uge addition to any team.

The straight-up no link is a clear FU and gets the post deleted forthwith Is there some way to stop a post that doesn't have a link? Oh, what the f#ck do I know... The main thing that I love about this site is that it has so many opinions from all walks of life. I'll be the first one to admit that sometimes I won't read a link before I post, but it's usually because I already knew the story and wanted to jump right in to the discussion. I'm not a writer or don't claim to be too smart, but I still like to see intelligent posts.

My (other) fantasy team is dying without Pavel and Matthieu. Both out with "lower body injuries." I think Schneider will be back thursday. I don't know about Pavel yet. YYM, you're right. I kinda feel bad now because when the playoffs start, these poor souls won't have anything to talk about... Those wingnuts will be easy picking in the playoffs pools. Dems fightin' werds, bud. Quoting that famous russian fighter Drago, "I must break you." Or to quote myself when I yell at my kids, "Don't make me give some more wall to wall counseling."
