I was posting this video when posting this video wasn't cool.

I've been waiting. For a thread like this....to come into my life... Ethan Albright is pissed at John Madden.

The Albright thing almost made me piss my pants. That's the funniest thing I have ever read. Ever. Rondo link was cool and Rosie's made me throw up in my throat when it showed her belly. Are you a UK fan Yerfatma?

I know I'd seen that Albright thing someplace else (on a different site, linked from digg) that made is clear (at least from the subhead of the site) that the content was a satire. And in the Digg thread there was a link to something on ESPN page 2 where they asked Albright about his rating and he said he didn't care. but I guess the satirical element can be a bit non-obvious if the material is taken in isloation. but, amusing. ummm, i mean, great recent Ronaldo goal bicycle kick, disallowed though. man, that kid is as good as Crouchie! Ryan Shannon spin move penalty shot works in the AHL! In the NHL, not so much. Dude, get the puck UP.

Are you a UK fan Yerfatma? No, a Celtics fan, but that's been almost the same thing over the course of the past decade or so ('Toine, Mercer, Walta, Pitino, Rondo).

The closest nba team to me is the pacers. I got to see them play the Celtics pitino's first year as coach. We were rooting for all of the ky boys and the celtics and damn near didn't make it out alive.

Ok then. You like football. You know about the Iceman, you're all over that Joga Bonita nonsense, but have you been to see le King? Do you believe in Magic? Do you believe in le GOD? Apologies for the fisheye quality of the Magico clip, but the Spanish are all nutters, clearly. Also, for those who don't like requiem, here's ten of Matt's best, sans music.

Did you get a copy of the memo guidelines about the TPS reports AOL speak?

For the Cardinals and Tigers fans out there -- you can download your team's clinching game in its entirety for free at MLB.com.

I'm told the more you know about tennis the funnier that clip is. The dude claims he took two games from Sampras.

You linked to Alexsey, awesome
posted by jerseygirl at 01:52 PM on October 20, 2006
Holden: regarding the game download, your link didn't work for me, but the download page is easy to get to via mlb.mlb.com. And as far as the second link, living as close to New Haven as I do, Elis like that are a dime a dozen. It's so common, it almost isn't funny. Almost.
posted by BullpenPro at 01:53 PM on October 20, 2006
Yeah -- sorry about the MLB download, it works in my browser (but maybe because I'm already signed in?). If you can't get into that page, follow this link to the main page and the prompts from there to download any of the 2006 playoff clinching games (so A's fans and Mets fans rejoice as well, kind of).

With a slogan like "Impossible is Nothing" I bet Alecksey could get a job working on an Adidas ad campaign. Don't you think "Impossible is Nothing" and Adidas would be great together? I'd love to see where those serves landed.

Did you get a copy of the memo guidelines about the TPS reports AOL speak? Have you considered having that stitched onto a throw pillow? That's a real revelation, that is -- the abbreviation "cuz" invented by the A'OLs.
posted by lil_brown_bat at 08:32 AM on October 21, 2006
Hey, terrific, I'll be sure to do that!
posted by jerseygirl at 09:24 AM on October 21, 2006
Seriously...I'm all in favor of the guidelines and your pointing them out to people, really, but I think you went a bit far with "cuz". Next you'll be telling the poms they can't type "cos".

I know nothing about American football or computer games but that Allbright link is very funny.

lbb, at this point jg is probably too busy looking over her shoulder for you to be bothered policing the guidelines. Maybe give her a little room?
posted by yerfatma at 06:04 PM on October 21, 2006
lbb, I wasn't seriously going after you with the guidelines, I was just goofing around. I know that in the past, you've taken the time to explain why the AOLese (to borrow your terminology) isn't cool around here to new members, as well, so I thought your "cuz" was mocking the AOLese. Figuring I'd return the fun, I replied with the "cuz?" and the little spoof on the Office Space TPS report joke. Never would have imagined you were seriously using "cuz" in the first place!

Ok, sorry. I'm not a watcher of series television (just not enough time) and so the joke went over my head.

posted by rocketman at 08:04 AM on October 23, 2006
I suppose you watch films, then? 'fraid not. I like movies, or films, or whatever you want to call 'em, but it's really difficult for me to get to see them. I live in the woods, and I work for a Boston company, and I'm in the office three days a week...so I spend a lot of time driving, and when I am home, going out is a Big Production. I watch movies and sports on TV but I can't keep up with series -- I'm bound to miss episodes and then there you go. It's really a more fun life than it sounds like.
