Thank You Veterans: I just wanted to say thank you to all of our veterans on this Veterans Day (America) and Remembrance Day (Canada). If you know a vet that is serving now or has served, please take the time to thank him or her today.

Don't forget about our friends in the UK and Australia. They're Remembering today as well.

You're right, NoMich. Sorry I didn't mention them! Thank you guys, too.

Thanks for the reminder. As well, thanks to all the veterans. I appreciate what you have done and are doing for the country.

I got drunk with my dad last night. Turns out he spent a little over 9 months in military prison for going AWOL (two separate occasions). His mom turned him in. Solid.

I can happily report that I continued my time-honored Veterans' Day tradition of getting boozy and reminiscent. Although, not with Samsonov14 or his father...I don't think so, anyway.

Thank you to all the veterans out there. It is you who have made it possible for us to live our lives as we do today.

Thank you to all the veterans out there. It is you who have made it possible for us to live our lives as we do today. Some other folks had a bit to do with it too (she said, channel-flipping between the Cowboys-Cardinals game and "The Pinochet Case").

lets not forget the 650,000 civilian victims of the Iraq war and the 25 people killed in Iraq yesterday alone. And when we have Iraq Rememberance Day, I'm sure you'll feel better. You do realize, soldiers, sailors, and airmen don't start wars, right? They fight because they're ordered to. I don't agree with the war in Iraq either, and I pray every day that my brother-in-law makes it home safe and sound to his wife and two boys, but I'm not gonna shit all over somebody's Veteran's Day tribute to make my point.

And when we have Iraq Rememberance Day, I'm sure you'll feel better. Eh. Look. That ain't necessary. Non-sports tributes are on shaky ground here to begin with, so let's not get too carried away, okay? Once you start with one, everything's fair game and nobody's got much grounds to snark at it.

Thank you for clarifying, TBH. Let's not blow this out of proportion. The soldiers do what they're ordered to do. The soldiers are willing to pay the ultimate sacrifice to defend our country. If you're pissed, blame the politicians. God Bless Our Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, Marines, etc.

A little late, but - thank you to the American voters, who may (repeat: may) have made some progress towards actually getting our troops the fuck out of there.
