Happy Birthday!: A little purple bird told me it is someone's birthday.

Happy birthday, rcade. Mine was last sunday (yeah, Easter Sunday). For some odd reason, I didn't really get to enjoy mine too much.

Happy birthday, dear popesquatter! (p.s. wingnut, was this you?)

Happy birthday! What!?! I have to wait eight more years until I can wear my leopard-skin mankini? I hope it will still fit.

Thanks. I went to Jackie Robinson Ballpark in Daytona to see the Cubs play. I was hoping to get to run the basepaths as a birthday boy, but I need to be mindful of my hip.

Ah yes, 40 years. In 1967 I was just finished with 2 years in the army and settling into my very first "real" job. Now here I am, still with the same employer, reduced to reading SpoFi for entertainment. rcade, congratulations on making it to the big 4-0. Just remember, buddy, it's all downhill from here, so enjoy the slide. Thanks for your work with SpoFi; it's your present to all of us.

Happy Belated B-day, rcade!! 40 isn't bad. I think 50 is when the warranty expires! Hope you had a good one.

Well done Rogers. You'd still be one of the younger ones in our over 35s league.

I am going to be 40 this year. I've never had a run-in with the vatican. I don't run a wildly successful sports blog. I've never even been sued. I hope your having a good birthday, rcade, because it's depressing the hell out of me.

I'm surprised by some of your ages. I was way off with my assumptions.

Totally. Anyway, back to Pokemon reruns.

Age is overrated. Try Thoreau's "Grey hair does not confer wisdom." Sounds more mature.

Wait, what? You mean Taylor Hicks ISN'T a wise sage masquerading as a soulful bluesman?

Wisdom is overrated. I traded mine for a pair of size 12 Heelys from FAO Schwartz.

Happy Birthday! Look on the bright side. You're only, what, three years (?) older than Greg Oden - and he's going number 1.

Happy (belated) Birthday.

I traded mine for a pair of size 12 Heelys from FAO Schwartz. Nice. I had a kid wearing those crash into me recently at a restaurant. It was like roller derby. Thank God for my layers of protective blubber.

There are some nice perks that come with being 40+ You're not kidding. I can now do that metal ball clacking thing with my testicles. I love middle age!
