Hoping Patriots have run out of feet in which to shoot themselves.
Hoping Matthew Stafford will avoid another ball injury. (Perhaps a reinforced cup might help.)
Cajun food vs wings is a difficult choice. I'm taking wings, but I make a passable jambalaya.

I don't understand why it needs to be the same unless it's going to become some mid-point between college football and the NFL. Also, if you ever get a chance to see Modified Rouge, they shred live!

I love the differences in the game from the NFL version.
Social media reaction is extremely negative towards these actions.
Apparently this is a 'commissioner only' project, players, team management were not consulted.

Picking Jacksonville to win a trip to the west coast is lunacy, so I'm pretending the trip is to London. I like the Bucs to make the champs walk the plank. Baltimore being a favorite in Kansas City is wild. I am picking the better 1-2 team in that one.

Interesting niche forum! Love the focus on the overlooked stories. I'm always looking for those hidden gems. Maybe we could have a thread dedicated to "Forgotten Sporting Legends"? My Granny used to tell amazing tales of pre-war athletes! Also, good rule about counting to five Mississippi; sanity is key here.

How bout them Lions. Kudos to the OL and DL coaches. Those units ruled.
And how bout that ground game, showing a team with a feared rushing attack how the deed is done.
Hard to believe that with an extra day to prepare, Ravens OC Monken put in a game plan with a bit of clunky stuff and such shaky pass pro.
Wish the Lions would go to a shade of gray instead of their whites. Like the Giants white unis, the Lions' sets look like dirty laundry on TV.
Loved seeing the Ravens in all black against the turf under the lights. Made it much easier to see how the D was positioned and how it responded to each play.

If you think the US has cut back on its diet of anger and hatred, don't read the comments section that follows the article in The Athletic about Bruce Pearl's retirement.

Did you miss Eddie Giacomin?
I saw the post, but I was in a place where the wifi was questionable. I remember something about Giacomin while riding on a moving train caught a piece of debris that flew through the window, saving the person next to him from injury. I can find no reference to this, so it might be something that crawled into an 84-year-old mind.

Panthers game was a shocker. The game stats are insane compared to the outcome.
Wasn't able to watch it today. When I looked at the final score, I was all like, "Bryce must've popped off!" Then I looked at the box score. /sad trombone How does a team score 30 points with only 121 yards in passing and 110 in rushing?
