I don't get this but I do have the old infinite back button issue on Chrome; that is, no matter how many times I go 'back' after posting a comment I can never get off the thread page. Just keeps cycling between the comment URL and the unadorned page URL.

Babys! They're like little soccer primadonnas, without the skills but much more of the cute.

According to the seating chart, the field will go from the home plate area to the outfield, with the most expensive tickets overlooking third base.

I have very narrow tastes in music and based on past swaps not too excited to get from others. However if any of you are interested in my Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band 'We Rock Live' anthology I can post somewhere for d/l.

Americans also travel less because the country is larger than Europe if you include Alaska and most of it is much easier to get to than Europe. Also until recently Americans didn't need a passport to go to Mexico, Canada and much of the Caribbean so plenty traveled out of the country without getting that paperwork.

Given the supposed biggest advantage of ManU over Barca was the back 4, well, it was no advantage at all. Vidic and Ferdinand, the best center back pairing in the world, were responsible for allowing the two goals.

I want Barcelona to win, they're my second team after the Reds and anyway ManU have enough trophies for the season. But with three starting defenders out and Henry and Iniesta troubled by injury I have my doubts.
One player I do not expect to see wearing red is Dimitar Berbatov. One of the writers in the Times' forum said he expects Rooney and Ronaldo to be the starting attackers but after Berba said he doesn't think he can score if it comes down to penalties I don't expect him to even make the bench. Maybe Macheda instead, coming on in the 75th minute to score another amazing game winner?
If the Spanish side does win I expect Iniesta and Messi to be the keys, even if Eto'o gets the important goal.

If hockey were soccer this would be meaningful but as the Stanley Cup is the real prize in the NHL its just one of those interesting conversation pieces ;)
(Note: I just mean that in soccer the league title is the most desired trophy, where in North American sports the playoff champhionship has place of pride.)

Barcelona FC is bidding along with a rich South American to put a team in Miami, they are one of five finalists (Portland, St. Louis, Vancouver and Montreal are the others, I think) for two expansion slots for the 2011 season. However at the recent Barca general meeting, there was some disgruntled quesioning about spending the money on this effort when times are hard.

On a more practical note, Liverpool FC should break the bank for the best physio and trainer money can buy to keep Fernando Torres on the pitch for a few games in a row.

One question is how 'SportsFilter' can own anything. I think if one of the P's is the owner of record we will all sufficiently trust that our money goes where it says on the label. I'm in the hiz-ouse with the plan.

That was one of the worst movies I have ever seen! I actually paid to see it in the theater. Did either of you see the Brando/Norton/De Niro trainwreck The Score or the Hackman/DeVito released-at-the-same-time catastrophe that was The Heist? Those were way up there in the spike in the forehead sweepstakes. Not sports-related, but still.

I think San Jose did okay getting a top defender from the Sabres for a young forward who wasn't really living up to his promise. Los Tiburones have been losing too many games to late goals, this should be a big help.

I hope all of you participating enjoy the results and I appreciate the past CDs sent my way. I won't be joining in any more, though, and it's not just a crazed fear of 74 minutes of Nickelback or Hannah Montana, as bad as that might be. No, my problem (and it is my problem, not yours) is that my musical taste got pretty much set in stone in high school and so most of the selections on the swap CDs are just angry noise for me. Heck, I have a tough time using up iTunes gift certificates because, well, there are only so many Springsteen, Zeppelin, Beatles, U2, Allmans and the like to buy and I'm not interested in the 97th repackaging of tunes with one whole bonus track. Woo-f'ing-hoo. There are tunes I can't find there (only three or four from Blind Faith, for instance) but that's not what seems to show up on SpoFi swaps either. So you young'uns enjoy yourselves and meanwhile, keep the frack off my front lawn!
