SportsFilter Under Development: SportsFilter is launching its new old code today, a rewrite of the site in PHP that incorporates the original design. If you have trouble posting or commenting, log out and log back in again. Post bug reports here.
Ok...
At first I tried to post to this thread with "Post Comment" and no preview. That just ate the comment.
Then I tried to write a comment, Preview and then EDIT the post before hitting Post Comment. That too ate the post.
Then I tried writing a comment, previewing and then NOT editing before clicking Post Comment and that worked.
All of these methods should work.

I didn't type the escape slashes in the comments above.
posted by scully at 10:13 AM on January 09, 2009
I didn't type that one either, but I saw it in the Preview this time. I am goign to try editing the slash before hitting post this time.
posted by scully at 10:14 AM on January 09, 2009
That time I was able to edit it in preview AND click Post Comment without having to preview a second time.
I might be here all day ;)
NB: Everyone should consider copying their comments in this thread to their clipboard before clicking preview or post comment, or you run the risk of typing everything over and over and over :)

not only January 9, but January 9, 3388. Are we working the time-travel machine here?
I kid. Time travel's a fine thing. The updates look great, I just popped on for a second this morning and was pleasantly surprised. And the customize option works like a charm, so that's checked, far as I can tell.

Er, 1,379 winners.

correction: In the edit screen under "customize", text is properly spaced, ie. returns between paragraphs. However, when viewing my profile, those don't appear. Minor problem. The datestamps appear to be the only big thing.

A number of errors/bugs on the profile:
terrapin has posted 45 links and 797 comments to SportsFilter and 34 links and 360 comments to the Locker Room.
The first two links (45 links and 797 comments) work, BUT include both site posts/comments as well as locker room. Conversely, neither of the second two lockerroom-specifc links (34 and 360) work.
