SpoFi Growth?: I see that a new member made an FPP today and that brought a question to mind: are we still growing as a site? How do new folks find us? etc. etc.

Seems like a positive thing, I guess?

I can't say much because I have generally been absentee for months.

The SpoFi "family" is growing though. There will be a little boy, a future skeptical Boston fan, arriving next month. He better not go into December.

How do new folks find us?

I find you dreadfully boring.

Oh, and congratulations jerseygirl. It's a lot more fun being a parent that I thought it would be.

I can't remember how I found SpoFi, but I'm surely glad I did. It's things like jerseygirl has just posted that make this more than a bunch of noise, but a lot like a real community. Congrats, j g. Don't be like the lady in Chicago who decided to run the Chicago Marathon, even though she was 38 weeks and 5 days into her pregnancy. She finished the run (although she walked about half of it) in a bit over 6 hours, finishing ahead of her husband. Then after getting something to eat, she realized something was amiss, headed to the hospital, and delivered her baby. Rather eventful day, what?

finishing ahead of her husband

Hadn't heard that part. Good luck living that one down.

I've always taken a certain amount of pride upon that occurrence.

Thanks! Running marathons are unlikely. I barely get the laundry basket up from the basement to the second floor nowadays.

That, like running a marathon, can also bring on labour.

Congrats on the kid, Jerseygirl!

I think SportsFilter's growth has slowed, but the football season has attracted some new members. Using everyone's first visit date, I can do a member count chart. I'll see what I can whip up in PHP.

Are there any onesies in the SpoFi store? Congrats, jerseygirl!

Congrats, jg. I hope you use the same creativity you brought to naming your fantasy teams to naming your baby. That would be fun!

I check back here occasionally but haven't had too much time to participate. I sort of miss it.

Corpse: We sort of miss you too. In a manly, old work lunch friend way.
