One more attempt at a New York SpoFi meetup.: In true Spofi fashion, I waited until the last minute. I will be flying out of the boonies into New Jersey to catch Thursday's New Jersey Devils vs Philadelphia Flyers game, a game with possible playoff implications that should have a playoff atmosphere. Are there any other spofites going? Or does anyone want to meet up at some point on Friday or Saturday?

NHL player gives a little back to the community.: The NHL has been getting some negative press lately. Here's a guy that shows professional hockey players can make a positive impact on society. Rob Skrlac is not the only one. Are your favorite teams doing anything for your community?

How about a Men's Olympic Hockey pool.: The schedule is set and we know the teams playing. I learned a new system that might work well with this tournament. Details inside.

This place is too popular for me now. Like Green Day, it's just not cool anymore. That's it, I'm outta here.

Now if Carolina wins game 7, I will pull ahead of Weedy for 26th place. It's the little victories that make life worth living.

I hate myself for not being as helpful as chicobangs and DrJohnEvans. I'm giving myself a Jason Terry crotch punch right now. I suck. Speaking of that, justgary was supposed to have forwarded an email to you about the self induced technical difficulty I am having. Unfortunately, it looks like something only an admin can fix. If you don't respond soon, I'm gonna crawl so far up your ass you will be able to taste my shampoo. Really though, I have more pressing matters, which I am sure you do to. But if you could take a quick gander at it, I would greatly appreciate it. I might even buy you a mug for christmas.

I clicked on the king.com logo and recieved the following message: We are updating the system so King.com is temporarily unavailable. WTF? Oh, well, I'm always getting my ass kicked in chess on MSN games anyway.

Correction: 7-5) Detroit, Montreal, Philadelphia 4-2) TB, Dallas, Nashville The highest possible score would be 746 pts.

Worst: 2 points for Edmonton, 15 for Dallas. Best: 12 points for Carolina, 1 point for TB. No matter what happens though, I still blew it. The best picks at the bottom end would have been: 12) San Jose 11-10) NJ, Ottawa 9) Colorado 8) Calgary 7-5) TB, Dallas, Nashville 4-2) Detroit, Montreal, Philadelphia 1) NY Rangers OK, so maybe 3 pts for Montreal was my best.

I would hardly call moving from NY to Texas a minor thing. But then again, I have only been to Texas twice. The first time I just drove through, the second time I was just changing planes in Dallas.

I like talking about myself. No, you like talking to yourself. Do I really? Yes you do, and you answer yourself a lot too. More than you talk to god. So, I talk to my cat more than god. Yes, and the christians hate you for it.

Want to Close the Locker Room?
I hear what lbb is putting down, but most of the stuff that that used to happen here was "hey, we got a problem here!!1!!!!!1!!!". We'd discuss the problem then go off on tangents. I don't know if it's because of the upgrades after the last server switch or that some of the old clique is MIA (I miss you chico, samsonov, qbert, mkn, SummersEve, BPP, Wingnut...) but yeah, it isn't what it used to be. But the lockerroom is still a more laid back place to goof off without the animosity that sports talk by it's nature brings, and therefore helps to create a closer community where we can all just get along and agree to disagree.
