It was a few days ago, but SpoFi has crossed the 15k threshold. Yowza.

Maybe it's like the Thunderdome. Two Greg Cooks enter, one Greg Cook leaves!

Well, I'm betting on that Greg Cook over there. He's got a mean look in his eye.

I wonder what Greg is cooking.

At least he wrote something in his profile on one of them. Maybe he will be an asset to this site. Doesn't hurt that he is a Redwing fan though because you know we need more of them around here!

The original saperranger is underrated. I expect big things from him down the line, he shall rise from the ashes in a time of need.

I'm still waiting for 10k's first contribution. Let's all put our joke accounts in action.

I'd like to hear more from one of our more famous members. Maybe he just doesn't have net access in Calgary yet.

Wow. 10K aka Ultimate Olympian was just last February. That's scary. I guess if you were the Ultimate Olympian, you'd probably be doin' rather than postin' about it on spofi...but somehow I think that's not actually the case here.

Hey- SportsFilter is a really good site- hell, we even have GOD here.

I totally missed that Jeff Friesen contributor. Based on his profile and contributions there is no way to figure out if it is or is not THE Jeff Friesen so I guess it is left on faith.

It's looks like someone is going to have to order some XXXL shirts for the user numbers. Scientific notation.

This place is too popular for me now. Like Green Day, it's just not cool anymore. That's it, I'm outta here.

Scientific notation. That would only make the problem worse. </pedantic>

Either that or from now on we print the numbers vertically on evening dresses instead of tees. (I'd buy two, and never mind what my number is!)

GOD said he'd been a Red Sox fan for 44 years and yet none of you called him on it? How can God let his people suffer so long, and what happened in 1962 to cause the change in loyalties?

We sold our souls to the devil in 2004 and no longer negotiate with the big guy in sandals.

But back in Venezuela, "fat chink," that's a compliment. You just don't know, man. The Buddha, he know. He kick Mariotti's ass if I ask. Mariotti, that fuck, he never experience enlightenment, not even at the moment of his death. Which I hope is soon. Buddha fine by me, man. Oh yeah, and fuck the Cubs. Fuck them.

lbb, Mr. 10K is our own beloved JJ. He is also Mr. 10K-1. That may have happened during your vacation. Somewhere in the mists of (temporarily unavailable, it seems) locker room chatter I think I predicted that we would reach 15,000 users by January 1 2007. Am I eligible for an entry in yerfatma's "great predictions?" [by the way, yerfatma, sir, you have a small typo there, if you look carefully at the heading ...]

The obvious answer to the jersey-number problem is to represent them in hex. That would keep us in four-digit territory until 65,535 (0xFFFF) I would even get a three-digit number (0x856).

*totally pope-squatted the 10K* Sorry. I really fancied the shirt. Then forgot to order one.

But isn't there something in the Torah/Old Testament about spending 40 years in the wilderness? The extra 4 must have been a 10 per cent surcharge.
