Want to Close the Locker Room?

I hear what lbb is putting down, but most of the stuff that that used to happen here was "hey, we got a problem here!!1!!!!!1!!!". We'd discuss the problem then go off on tangents. I don't know if it's because of the upgrades after the last server switch or that some of the old clique is MIA (I miss you chico, samsonov, qbert, mkn, SummersEve, BPP, Wingnut...) but yeah, it isn't what it used to be. But the lockerroom is still a more laid back place to goof off without the animosity that sports talk by it's nature brings, and therefore helps to create a closer community where we can all just get along and agree to disagree.

I'm stupid

I hate myself for not being as helpful as chicobangs and DrJohnEvans. I'm giving myself a Jason Terry crotch punch right now. I suck. Speaking of that, justgary was supposed to have forwarded an email to you about the self induced technical difficulty I am having. Unfortunately, it looks like something only an admin can fix. If you don't respond soon, I'm gonna crawl so far up your ass you will be able to taste my shampoo. Really though, I have more pressing matters, which I am sure you do to. But if you could take a quick gander at it, I would greatly appreciate it. I might even buy you a mug for christmas.

Let the endless hockey chatter continue

Thornton's big advantage seems to be that he can prove how much of a difference he made. I hear what you're saying, 86. The stat they like to show to play up that kind of thing is: Team A w/ Player A in the lineup W-L-OTL Team A w/o Player A in the lineup W-L-OTL Being that Jagr didn't miss any time during the season, we don't have those stats to compare. You have convinced me that Thornton will win the Hart. Based on stats, I'm giving the Norris to Mathieu Schneider because he played 72 games, scored 59 pts and is a +33. Its hard to judge the Vezina winner based purely on stats because you don't know what kind of team he was playing behind. But I do know Marty B probably won't win it this year. Calder: Ovechkin of course. I think we already discussed why. Selke: My vote goes to Rod B. I don't have a clue about the Lady Byng but I'll pull a homer and say Elias because he has skill and I can't remember seeing him loosing his temper and taking a stupid/bad penalty.

Is it possible that the thread still shows up on the My Yahoo link to spofi? Well, it's not showing up on mine. But while we are on the subject, can we eliminate the foul language on a FPP. That "Shit Fan, Fan Shit" was on My Yahoo! page for like a week. If proper spelling and grammer are so important to a link, then shouldn't clean language be also?

I can't believe how ugly that one got so fast. We managed to keep an intelligent discussion going in the previous thread (for the most part, we did go on a little tangent). Don't be discouraged elovrich, it had a chance. Otherwise it wouldn't have lasted as long as it did.

Impressive, even for a non-skater like myself. Glad to help broaden your horizons. To help put this run into perspective though, on scale of 1-10, 10 being the highest difficulty, Bob pulled at least 6 tricks that were at least an 8 (not to mention the kickflip miss grab he had no business landing). During the last few years of the X-games skaters have become a lot more conservative. They will do a run of easier tricks and only pull out 1 or 2 tricks I would rank at least a 7. At this point of the competition, Bucky Lasek had pulled out an amazing run that put him in first. Bob was the last skater to go (and was already in a respectable second) and he didn't hold back at all. But yeah, that doesn't excuse Sal Masekela's squealing.

I wish the resolution was better but this is the best run I ever saw at the X-games. Bob Burnquist is the best ever in my book. It amazes my how he can catch the wrong side of the board but still throw it down and land it. Not to mention how great he is at riding 'switch'. Notice how Tony Hawk can't even keep up with the "play by play" announcing.

Well, I think a few of us are guilty of encouraging a couple, because they were so funny the first time. Plus, when you learn a new skill (such as how to insert an image in HTML), you kind of want to show it off. I think this Locker room post alone though will help everyone get the idea.

I'm in favor, but yes some are getting played out. And if you don't know how to make a large one fit, then you shouldn't use them. Save room for the comments. I usually like to just place a link to the image instead of inserting the image in the comment. Unless of course it's a cute little...

For shits and giggles I clicked on my AIM screen name in my profile and this is the IM it automatically sent: "Hi I know you're busy but I saw your name on SportsFilter and ..." Are you sure it is spam and not an automatically generated invitation from someone clicking on one of those "tell a friend about us" kind of links? I'm not sure if that sight has one of those, I searched briefly, but didn't find one.
