This is awful. That's a big body of water. Heartbreaking.

I'm in as ThreePeatBaby, cause, you know. . .it would be if I won. Which I most assuredly won't.

Great game. (Rivers'll be fine, Grossman, not so much).

Congrats to the winners. I was hoping to go out on top again and retire gracefully. Now I'm Favre-ing!

Yukon is on a roll, and good job by Flivvers with the 49 moves out of a junky draft to get back in contention.

Who is jerseygirl? I don't care, yahoo is easy for me, I'll probably have another league or two there. If someone wants to try another system, I'll follow like a sheep, but I have no strong feelings either way.

I can't find any back up, but I think I remember seeing on TV last year that he was prohibited by contract clause from riding during the season, but not the offseason. (I don't know where pre-season fits in, if that is in fact true).

I'm lame. I show up on the sidebar as in, but I don't think I put an email in, I got an error message. So now I can't see if I have everything filled out or not. Well, it's probably fate.

Why yes, thank you dano, she did. The lady covets a banner or two or three! You guys are fun. Strangely, this is the only place I've ever had any luck with the NCAA hoops. I'll tell you my secret methodology when it's all over.

I would like to take this opportunity to point out, humbly, that I won this thing last year. Thanks to ying yang mafia for setting it up.

It's great publicity for both of them, and my dog is named Masha. Two thumbs up. It's press, pure and simple. Isn't she holding a CD? This is a perfect non-story. Seriously, it's elegant. I love it.

Yep, NoMitch, they showed some stuff. I guess they used the tape delay to make an assesment and a decision, I can understand that.

While I don't want to see anyone assisted from an accident, I wonder if a policy of not showing less horrible spills gives the illusion that these sports are as easy as the elite atheletes make them appear.

It's not a big deal. It's showbiz (close enough) and you get to say who you want out there. Plus, there is an audition process - I bet if a 47 year old went through it and made it, they wouldn't be thrown out for their age.

Lifelong fan, five year fantasy player. If I'm in a fantasy league with strangers, I don't announce my gender; I assume most people are the same. So you've probably been playing with 1/4 women and just didn't know it. It doesn't surprise me at all. Our SpoFi league is at least 16% women. . .if there is one more team being managed by a woman and I'm just not aware of it, that'd be about 22%, close to the figure in the article.

She was perfect. And so compelling, such a strong persona. Great idea for a piece of writing, kinda skimmed the surface, though. . .for a young person (i was. . seven) she made it seem like WE could be perfect, too - at something. . .some sport, somehow; and she was - what's the word for when children find other children attractive, oh, I know, a fox. Very complex influence on a certain generation.

I'm right with you on not liking One Foot In and being conflicted about overtime. But pass interference.. . .why wouldn't the defender just automatically interfere with a long catch that looks like a sure thing and take the 15 yards instead of the 45? Hmm.

If you had to pick one to agree with and one to disagree with, what would they be? I disagree with more of them than I agree with, but it was a fun read. I'd go YES with The Ground Can Cause A Fumble, and NO with No More Fair Catches. I think a chop block is less likely to freaking kill someone than No More Fair Catches.

It's a sticky issue, and O'Neal is not a politician. I agree the arguments/allegations/whatevers are loose, but it is an issue that will primarily and immediately affect young black men, and it deserves exploration, both pro and con.

Saw him on TV last night, clarifying his statement to say that such a rule would have a disproportionately negative effect on black players - not that The NBA has a conscious racist agenda. Well spoken guy. (And he came straight from HS) They could have made the rule when this first started happening, but now it would seem. . .well. . .unfair. As O'Neal said, let the best players play, regardless of age. I'm glad I heard the interview, it changed my mind. . .or at least, I'm glad he spoke on the issue, as one who went through the experience himself.

So I've been sitting on top of the bracket for awhile, and if NC wins tonight, I'll win this one and the one at work too. This is very bad. I haven't ever picked a decent bracket, now I'll be cocky next year and be tempted to put money on the darn thing. Also, I sat on top of the SpoFi Fantasy Football league for a long time, and ended up third. . .so history says I'm a choke artist. Here's hoping for a good game tonight!

Still going to require two starting running backs? Maybe the second (instead of third) rb slot should be the flex RB/WR position due to the large number of teams in the league?

Holy frijoles! There's a fantasy football draft tomorrow morning?
I'll be drafting from work. Might as well leave it because of the huge # of teams and late notice to change. It'll all be about managing what you end up with.
