Kinhosa with my nick, Kildo with my RL name. The former sounds like a rejected 80's Wayne's World insult, the later like my own personal sex toy. Fun though. Edit: If I use my name & my SO's last name I get Kito, which is way cooler.ufez, don't read into that; I was just trying to get a better result. honest.

Mr.B: When I was a kid we had neighbors who moved to our neighborhood from Hawaii. One of the these neighbors told me my name in Hawaiian was "Pele" which I used to think was cool. I hadn't thought of it in years, and this thread made me decide to look it up. And I found at least one reference which seems to indicate that it is at least partially true.

Sorry terrapin, I'm missing something, what part of the link am I supposed to look at?

posted by Mr Bismarck at 02:56 PM on July 14, 2006

I assumed you'd search on "Pele" and figure out my given first name. I was being vague, sorry. My first name is Frederick. I think they give the tanslation as Peleke.

If I put Ying Yang as the first name I get Ying Yimo. If I put Yang Mafia as the last name I just get Yimo. Or if I do my first name in Hawaiian plus Mafia as my last name I get Palainaça. Woohoo! If I could change my SpoFi name to Ying Yimo I would seriously consider it. Of course rainbaby's is the best

posted by Ying Yang Mafia at 04:11 PM on July 14, 2006

"Wea" is my SpoFi Brazilian Soccer name (Which begs it's own category). "Deniundo" is my bio-name Brazilian handle. And, consequently, my second kid's name, now.

Hisco! I kinda like that. Happy Friday.

Garfieto. Not bad. My real name gives me MICHAA, and double vowels are sexy, like a weird accent. And my real name shortened yields Mikildo (be gentle romakimmy). And my other online persona Brazilian Ginga name: Ninjildo. Happy Friday indeed.

If I use "The" as my first name, and "BlackHand" as my last, I become the mighty "Blackhino!" If I use "The" as my first name, and include a space between "Black" and "Hand," I become the more mundane "Tha."

posted by The_Black_Hand at 04:51 PM on July 14, 2006

Ok so my Brazilian name is Folkwinho. Heres a toast to me!

JJ = Egra (?) John McClure = McClurito (dull) John Rollo (1st + 2nd Forenames) = Rollito I want to be the keeper. I think I'll go with Egra.

And starting at midback lefty googly, number 13 ... Frazão! Yeah, and then I'd run off and get a Brazilian wax. George Bush is sitting in his office when his press secretary comes rushing in. "Sir," the PS says, "three Brazilian soldiers have just been found decapitated in Iraq!" "Oh gosh!" exclaims Dubya, then looks at the press secretary strangely. "Wait ... how many is a Brazilian?"

"Wait ... how many is a Brazilian?" I didn't know that he spoke japanese... "Godzirra!"

Poor ?!, I looked his up and all he gets is the boring name Imo

posted by Ying Yang Mafia at 05:56 AM on July 15, 2006

Rildo or Scinho are my real name Brazilian nicknames. I used "terrapin" and "dude" earlier to get "Terrapaldo" which I think I prefer, even if it really weird.

Skydivildo = skydivemom That just sounds bad. I must admit that is not the most amazing name. It doesn't sound great, but it looks worse.

worldcup 2002 = Son Santos Nice ring to it. But it wouldn't take just "worldcup2002" - required a surname. Dammit. worldcup2002 was a one-namer before it was cool, dontchaknow!
