Last time the Knicks were in this position they played San Antonio and the Sports Deities do love them a rematch.
Also, he didn't play much, but Jalen Brunson's father Rick was a deep bench guy on that Knicks squad.

This whole playoff thing seems exhausting to read about, man. Makes me think I should just stick to playing with AI Image To Image Generator instead of tracking NBA drama.

Yeah, that first goal was, what kids might be saying these days, "sick" or "filthy". The second one (the gamer winner in OT) was just a pure snipe. That dude is good and the Canes got him for 6 years and only $8.5 million per.

That Ehlers goal was a fluid, graceful thing of beauty.
I'll have to check but he may have scored another one later on.

If you will allow late picks on Thunder vs Spurs (certainly not later than this evening), then give me OKC in 7. I didn't see the pick 'em posted until this morning.

This Sucks I had no Idea that the Spurs and Thunder was playing yesterday. I didn't get the email until today. Regardless of yesterdays score I was going to pick the Thunder in six.

I've always kinda liked De'Aaron Fox, but I don't know that this is the kind of series he's going to have a big impact on. The way Castle, Harper (who is a 20 y/o rookie!), and Vassell played last night, my guess is Mitch Johnson would've stuck with that same 5 (Wemby and Champagnie) in the OTs.
It seemed like a huge move at the time, but it feels like the Spurs hitting hard on their last few draft picks have made Fox a bit extraneous. We'll see though, it looks like he'll be available for G2.
Also, sweet jebus, how historically great is last year's rookie class looking? It's kind of tough to grasp that this Summer's could be even better. Massive influx of talent coming into the league.

OKC's bench will be more critical than ever if Holmgren continues to have non-games like he did last night. Although he did have the big block at the end of reg.
Caruso is insane with the efficiency and all the stuff he does on the floor.
OKC hung tough despite a fairly small night from SGA, but the Spurs won without Fox available at all.
Let's have everyone at close to full strength and see what happens. Game 1 road win is often a tone setter.
Wemby played the extra minutes with no fall off. And they don't have to travel as they recover for Game 2.
If Gus Johnson had been on the game call for Wemby's deep 3 in OT, cardiologists would be trying to learn how he survived the moment.

What a fun night of playoffs!
I never saw ESPN show the crowd at the Bell Centre's reaction to the game-winner, so here it is for anyone that's curious.
I still have no idea how the Spurs/Thunder series is going to shake out, but I plan to be locked in for every bit of it. Absolute cinema last night and it's only going to get better as the series progresses.

Because of the super short turnaround time to get our picks in, I say that we give the late arrivers grace for the Spurs/Thunder series.

Congrats to the Habs for getting past the Sabres. I'm mostly excited that us Canes fans don't have to deal with drunk and violent Sabres fans. Habs fans are usually really cool down here at playoff games, so this is good. I might actually hate to see the Canes crush their beloved team.
San Antonio outlasted OKC last night, but man, they have a much shorter bench and I just can't see them keeping this up against the Thunder.

Hamilton was announced last night, I'm thinking a western Canadian city (logically) would be the 4th club. I don't know if Las Vegas will work for PWHL, but there are cities clamouring for a franchise if it fails in Nevada.
I made it to a game in Ottawa last month, huge raucous crowd, lot of fun.

I'd personally prefer basketball, but I feel like whichever of the PWHL, NWSL, or WNBA is the first to try a team in STL will do quite well.
We did get a date on the PWHL's tour when they were scouting cities and I heard it was a great event, but I'm sure there's a lot more to it than just that.

The PWHL is going to Detroit and Las Vegas with its ninth and tenth teams.
Two more cities are expected to join them in the newly expanded league next season.
