He then got Josh Harrison to fly out for a no-hitter. This follows a one-hitter on his last start, prompting an ESPN report to call this "perhaps the most dominant consecutive starts in the majors since Johnny Vander Meer pitched back-to-back no-hitters for Cincinnati in 1938." Brazil's World Cup Stadiums, One Year Later: ESPN looks at Brazil's 12 World Cup stadiums, some of which are barely used because they have no soccer club to fill them. One of the most glaring examples is Estadio Nacional Mane Garrincha in Brasilia, which cost $900 million to build and is only used by semi-pro clubs because the city lacks a large pro club. An estimated 30 to 40 percent of construction costs of these venues was lost to corruption.

A bit of history: The first Horse racing Triple crown in 37 years. Despite less than astounding times, American Pharoah joined a club of now 12 horse to win the Triple Crown yesterday. There will be some debate whether he belongs in the Pantheon of the best ever, but he did successfully face the challenge he faced. With the changes in the breeding of Thoroughbreds over the last 20 years or so, ( inbreeding, speed being valued over stamina, Lasix types of diuretics,) it may well be another 37 years before we see this accomplishment repeated. I felt a pleasure watching him break away down the stretch while so many have faded over the years. This bay colt is one fabulous athlete.
