Landis wore hidden wire to aid doping probe: report: Disgraced American cyclist Floyd Landis used a hidden wire and secret camera to gather audio and video evidence for a US federal probe into doping in cycling. Landis used the equipment for a meeting earlier this year with Michael Ball, owner of the Rock Racing team that featured Tyler Hamilton and other former Lance Armstrong teammates.

US rule could keep Iroquois from lacrosse tourney: Ranked 4th in world standings, and widely accepted as having invented the game, the Iroquois have come up against a subtle attempt of assimilation by the US government. The team has been traveling on Iroquois passports for the past 20 years, and Iroquois passport-holders have been using them to go abroad since 1977. Members of the Western Shoshonee and Hopi nations also have traveled internationally using similar passports, some within the last few months.

USC hit hard by NCAA sanctions: The often speculated but never confirmed transgressions of Reggie Bush implode a championship program, not to mention the hard work of all the other players over two years. As expected, Bush is staying true to form denying all allegations.

High School hoops player found to be 22 year old: Sixteen year old Jerry Joseph averaged more than 20 points over the last nine games of the season on the way to being named the District 2-5A Newcomer of the Year, but it was 22 year old Guerdwich Montimere making the shots.

Randy Moss. A self absorbed person who had his ego artificially inflated since junior high by having one selfish coach after another tell him how great he was and how much better and smarter he was than anyone else, just to get him to perform a little better. And then the growing entourage of family and friends and hangers on repeating the same thing over and over.
No wonder Randy is the arrogant, egotistical fatal team cancer that he is. He just can't help it if he knows more than the head coach, the owner, the QB, and all the other players on the team. Like TO, i think that Randy has seen his last season in the NFL. And like TO, his legacy will be one of a rare talent that was wasted.

"That was one of the few times in my career I kind of went blank,"
Unless you count the times you kind of went blank when you retired and then didn't retire, or the times you sent pictures of your junk to female employees of the team you worked for. And do you include the countless times you blanked out when your team and your backup needed you most? And lets not forget the time you blanked out and refused to cooperate or support your coach knowing that the owner would back you, because after all, you are THE Brett Favre.
The only thing I wish is that it had been Green Bay players slamming Favre into the frozen ground head first and Aaron Rodgers that had piled up the 40 points on the Vikings.
I can see now why Childress got himself fired. Wilf completely undermined him by allowing Brett to continually challenge his authority, and by doing the superstar "I'll do whatever I please" act, essentially putting him on or above the same footing as the head coach. I wonder how Wilf is liking his dual head coaches now?

I was in a pub watching the game with a surprising number of Packer fans. I was a little surprised then when the entire place started cheering for Connolly. I guess an amazing, improbable play transcends team loyalty if even for a moment.

If we have a SPOFI Asshole Athlete of the Year award, I'd nominate Landis. Always in the shadow of Armstrong, he cheated to win, got caught, was humiliated by having the trophy and win taken away, then humiliated further by spending every penny he had on useless appeals when he knew he was guilty.
And now out of pure spite he wires up to try and prove his claims of doping by all the members of his former team. The 2010 award for Federal Agent Wanting to Make a Name for Himself goes to the moron who Landis conned into making the investigation.
I'd like to be there when the Federal Grand Jury reams both of them. Landis should get the bill for this waste of taxpayer dollars.

Did he do anything right?
Don't get me started. He hit the ground running stupid in Denver and never stopped till the day he was fired.

McNabb must feel like the Rodney Dangerfield of the NFL. He got little respect in Philly and none in Washington. Shanahan may be right, but he's a complete asshole for making this such a public humiliation for McNabb and himself.

Or its a way of showing that he really has learned from his experience and wants a chance to teach his children the correct responsibilities of owning a pet.
This country is all about second chances. I'd hate to have to keep paying over and over again for every mistake I ever made.

I know that the term hero has gotten tossed at so many people for so many reasons that it no longer has the meaning it did. But Bob Feller was a hero in every meaning of the word.
Baseball player, patriot, hero.

He can't fire the bum, so might as well get some satisfaction for his money. It's mean spirited perhaps, but no worse than a guy being paid primo bucks who isn't earning them.

Isn't the math formula for the BCS the same one that the Soviets used to put their cosmonauts on the moon?

Oh. You guys are serious about an actor getting into the Boxing Hall of Fame for portraying a boxer. Wow. Stallone gets in but De Niro is just a contender. Yeah, that makes sense.

You know what. fuck that kind of censorship. People engage in personal attacks in these threads all the time that don't get deleted.
