Royals fan sells loyalty on eBay: Royals fan auctions 25 years of devotion for $278.47. Ouch.

Didn't a Detroit Lions fan do this as well?

I have a crusty old Giants hat in the closet. I wonder what I could get for that if I auctioned off my Giants loyalty? I bet I could fetch at least a couple of cents. ha ha. ha. yeah.

Wingnut4life, if you are selling your Red Wings loyalty, I'll start the bidding at $25.

Any takers for my Flyers love? Ahh, who am I kidding? Can't let it go, even though they will break my hear again next year. They gotta come though one of these days.

I'm suprised that man has survived 25 years of loyalty to the Royals. He isn't like us Detroiters who have had to endure the Dead Things, the post 1987 Tigers, and the Lions. Not to mention the poor, misguided Michigan State football fans. However, I could never sell my loyalty to any team, especially since this year is the Lions' year.

I tried to sell my Knicks fanhood. I ended up having to pay my prospective buyer to take them off hands.

What I want to know is what dumb ass actually would pay for this type of thing? I am a loyal Cincinnati fan (Bengals and Reds) I endured 12 years with the Bengals and he Reds havent exactly been to good since 90. Shit happens, things change. The Reds are doing well (for now) and the Bengals are solid playoff contenders.

Come on people how many people do you think would buy my loyalities to the Cubs. I will start the bidding at $2 dollars.

I tried to sell my loyalty to flaxseed oil, but now I'm being investigated for purjury

A true fan doesn't "give up" his loyalty. He must never have had it to begin with. There are plenty of bandwagons around for that clown to ride on. He'll find one. By the way, has anyone else had to endure watching my hapless Royals this year? It is a little gut wrenching.

This would have been a lot funnier if some guy hadn't done this with the Lions last December. http://www.sportsfilter.com/comments.cfm/5632 That guy got points for originality. This guy's just a copycat.

I live in K.C. and it is painful to watch them, but I love them. I will stick with the club. I was so glad that they won the road game last night. Can't give up though.

Y'know, I thought about looking that link up earlier, then realized just how lazy I am, and forgot all about it.

I'm a vikings fan since birth, and its tough to find a more dissapointing franchise but I will never sell my loyalty. I will bleed purple 'til I die!!

I'm a loyal Cubs and Bears Fan and I've sat through so much pure crap through the years but I would never sell my loyalty to them and my minor loyalty to Chicago sports teams in general

I've been a 49ers fan for about 20 years. We've had our highs of course. The 80's were great for all us 9er fans. ('81, '84, '88 and '89) The 90's saw one championship ('94) but the new millenium has been cruel to this once great dynasty. Just like to say thanks to Denise DeBartolo for running the team in the ground. I'll always be pulling for them but I'm slowly coming to terms with the fact that we're gonna have a top five pick in the draft from now on.

Wingnut4life, if you are selling your Red Wings loyalty, I'll start the bidding at $25. You can have my next born child, but you'll have to pry my Red Wings loyalty from my cold, dead hands! In related news, Dave Glass chimes in.

Ah, now there's the wingnut I know. Damn it though, what do I have to do to get another Devils fan in here? I can't even buy one.

posted by njsk8r20 at 07:54 PM on May 05, 2006

I'll be a part-time fan for you. But only because I have both Gionta and Elias on my fantasy playoff hockey team.

posted by wingnut4life at 08:04 PM on May 05, 2006

Good enough, I guess I'll have to take what I can get. I'll send you a keychain. Just be careful of the horns and tail. I don't want you to hurt yourself.

posted by njsk8r20 at 12:07 AM on May 06, 2006

Oh I'll become a part-time Devils fan if I can get a free keychain.

posted by Ying Yang Mafia at 05:40 AM on May 06, 2006

OOOOOOOO, that's gonna hurt... sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeet!!!

posted by wingnut4life at 04:26 PM on May 06, 2006

Uh oh, sk8r. Devils got spanked today. Do you want that keychain back?

posted by wingnut4life at 04:35 PM on May 06, 2006

Well, let's just wait to see if they can do any better in game 2. Actually, when I think about where it may have been, I don't think I want it back either way.

I'll be a part-time Devils fan for round two but when they meet with the Sabres in round 3 well...
