Much fun and an opportunity to display my underwhelming mediocrity in all it's glory. And I accuse Monica Poland of using POP'eED's. Don't you dare throw your trainer under the bus.

I will buy a beer for anybody who picks Chris Hanson. Given that I'm not likely to win, I'm so very tempted to take you up on this. As long as I can choose the beer, that is. (chimay reserve -- and he did punt once on Saturday, so there. But as Madden once remarked of Hanson, "That man has the best job in the NFL.")

Hey, I think my points need adjusting, as well. Seems I should probably have a 0 where my 2 stands. Basing that purely on self-awareness of my own capabilities, not past performance. My only regret is that, getting in too late, I can't win me a Costanza. NYG by 10 NE by 13 Who's punting for GB these days? I think he'll go for about 214.

I can't believe the Pats took a knee in the last minute. Why- was it just to avoid injury? The game was won; even an interception run back for a touchdown couldn't win the game, so why not toss another 7 on there, or at least try for it? I'm just bitter because for the second week, the Patriots turned it off once the game was decided, blowing my chance at making the damn SpoFi pick-'em spread.
posted by hincandenza at 05:27 PM on January 20, 2008
Oh, and to add insult to injury, not only did I not hit the spread in the Pats game, but Green Bay's Jon Ryan outpunted Mike Scifres of San Diego by 3 yards, 193-190, to take away THAT pick as well. Only two people even picked the GB punter, although a few got within a couple of yards of the actual total, and owlhouse actually picked the exact yards of San Diego's punter (190). Christ, this is why I don't gamble with real money. :)

Results are here. Converting the spreadsheet to html is a pain in the neck. Any tips, email is in the profile. Onto the results. Congrats to Monica Poland who moved into the lead after getting 9 points. Also congrats to all who made perfect game predictions: Monica Poland - Chargers by 4 and Catfish - Patriots by 11. This weeks picks: San Diego Chargers at New England Patriots - Sun 3:00 pm EST on CBS. New York Giants at Green Bay Packers - Sun 6:30 pm EST on Fox. This weeks bonus, scored the same as the games, which team's punter will punt for the most total yards and how many yards will that be?
