Pirates broadcaster complains about Reds player and goes too far.:
“I heard of him because of his grandfather (Steve Demeter) who used to be a minor league coach for the Pirates. He was the nicest, sweetest guy in the world. He’s rolling in his grave every time this guy hits a home run. He’s embarrassed of his grandson.”

Passan: How a 19-year-old prospect is turning the MLB draft upside down: 19 year old prospect, Carter Stewart, has opted to begin his professional baseball career in Japan instead of making the long, hard slog through MLB's minor league system. Why? Seven million reasons why. It would be interesting if the professional Japanese baseball league were to loosen their rules on foreign players especially if the teams are willing to put up millions of dollars to top prospects around the world.

UEFA's messing up: First, UEFA attempts to hide its ticketing incompetence at the Women's World Cup, which kicks in less than three weeks Fans who spent thousands on Women’s World Cup tickets irate to learn seats are not together.

Second, UEFA attempts to hide its cup final selection incompetence:

Mike Trout's No. 1 Fan: When Gavin Edelson walks into Ms. Beever's first-grade classroom every morning, it's a safe bet he will be dressed in one of his Troutfits. ... "I know everything," Gavin said. "Every night before bed, I read a Mike Trout book. And right now, I'm wearing a Trout shirt. My red one. Whenever I go to a fancy dinner, they make me wear a collared shirt. I just want to wear a Mike Trout shirt."

Liverpool reach Champions League final after incredible turnaround: Braces from Divock Origi (only playing because Roberto Firmino and Mo Salah were injured) and Gini Wijnaldum (on as a substitute for the injured Andy Robertson) and a stifling defense that barely gave Barcelona's attack sniffs at the goal resulted in an extremely unlikely outcome - the Reds will play in the Finals a second year running. The fans and the team singing You'll Never Walk Alone afterwards.
