SportsFilter: The Monday Huddle:
A place to discuss the sports stories that aren't making news, share links that aren't quite front-page material, and diagram plays on your hand. Remember to count to five Mississippi before commenting in anger.
You better make it quick in case this whole "sweeper getting swept in the next round" business holds up for the SCF.

The last time Blues and Bruins met in the Stanley Cup finals they made history. Game 4 went to overtime, thus the Blues became the first expansion team to get to overtime against an original 6 opponent in the finals. This was such a momentous event that the Bruins erected a statue in celebration. Just look up "Bobby Orr Statue". For those who feel the season is too long, that particular game was played on Mothers' Day, the 2nd Sunday in May. Now they won't even start until just before Memorial Day.

If St. Louis ends up beating San Jose, will Howard and I have to give interviews describing what daily life in the US was like the last time the Bruins and Blues met in the Stanley Cup Finals?
