I hope this makes Caldwell take a long, hard look at whether he wants to keep his $22M QB.
Who would they replace Stafford with? I am by no means a Stafford fan but he is the best the Lions can get at this point.

It really seems like the NHL engaged in some shady business to keep Scott out of the All Star game.
Good for him for embracing it. This year will be the first year I watch the NHL star game in a long time.

I started going to the Lions Thanksgiving game three years ago. The Lions have won three straight on Thanksgiving (after losing nine straight). Coincidence or cosmic powers at work?

Note the multiple instances of "multiple" there.
I read it was requiring teams (and fantasy matchup outcomes) to rest on more than just a single game. For example, it seems like it would be illegal to draft a fantasy football team of only Lions players. I think daily fantasy sports are fine so long as you choose players involved in two different matchups.

Goodell has been steadily increasing revenue for the owners. He trounced the NFLPA in the last CBA negotiations. I imagine most owners are quite happy with his performance.
Incidents like this also help keep issues like long term brain damage from being in the headlines.

I think in an ordinary game where a no hitter was not on the line the scorer would rule it a hit. It is very hard to get a fielding error in the outfield if it does not hit your glove. But under the circumstances I think it would have been scored an error.

Has a member of the losing team ever won Finals MVP in the NBA? LeBron James is unquestionably the MVP of the series but I can't imagine the NBA being willing to give the MVP to a member of the losing team.

But Barry Bonds was other-worldly: .356/.581/.978 in 74 plate appearances, so the narrative was pretty much Bonds vs everyone else.
In the World Series he put up an insane .471/.700/1.294 in 30 plate appearances!

LeBron has averaged 42.4 minutes per game in his post-season career. Maybe he will wear down (especially after playing 46 and 50 minutes during the first two games) but he just seems to take it to another level in the playoffs.

The teams have only played twice, with UCF winning 62-17 over the Huskies on Oct. 26, 2013. Diaco said that score isn't on the trophy because the game predates his arrival in Storrs.
Rivalry games are great and I do not see a problem in trying to manufacture a rivalry. Worst case scenario is it does not work out and UCF/UCONN remains just another Big East AAC game. That said, leaving off the game that UCF won (very convincingly) is just silly.

The out-of-bounds call at the end of the game baffled me. The Duke player's finger clearly moved because the ball hit it and yet they awarded Duke possession. Duke subsequently hit the 3 pointer that pretty much ended Wisconsin. Very unfortunate way for the game to end.

To me the more egregious missed call was where the officials declined to call a flagrant foul on the slap. Missing it while on the floor is bad enough. Having the opportunity to review it and then declaring it incidental contact was terrible.

The Josh Gordon situation is sad. Have the Browns/NFLPA failed to give him the help he needs? Or has he really had every opportunity? I don't see him staying on the Browns roster after this.

I think the ability to motivate is much more important at the college level (e.g., Pete Carroll) so I would not be surprised to see Harbaugh will the team to at least 8 wins next year.
As bad as Michigan looked this year they may have the talent to let Harbaugh give sheer will a rest. Brady Hoke brought in two very good recruiting classes. If Harbaugh is any better than Hoke at developing players (and that really should not be hard) he should be able to field a team that can beat most of the teams on its schedule.
Jones, having done what he did, as a freshman,
Jones was a redshirt sophomore this season. J.T. Barrett was a redshirt freshman.

the rivalry with Michigan is now right back up into the "huge for the whole country" category.
Harbaugh is going to have to win some games first.
