Seems it would be healthier for the league if the talent wealth were more disbursed and more teams had a legitimate shot at contending.
The NBA seems like a few have's and a whole lot of have-nots.

Reggie was an all time great, for sure. However, when the going got toughest Reggie definitely did not always deliver. Zero championships.
Anyway, the point wasn't to diss Reggie. I just dont follow Durant's position that Bosh is a "fake tough guy" because he engaged in a little trash talk. Lots of non tough guys trash talk, Reggie being a one example, of many possibilities. I don't really think Bosh positions himself as a tough guy to begin with.

I read this article in Men's Journal a couple of months ago and thought it was a great fit for me. In recent years I have completed 3 marathons, not fast, but completed. I thought distance running was going to give me the body I had wanted. It did not. I was skinny-fat.
Granted, it's only been a short time since I've encorporated the concepts in this article, but I am already seeing results, and others have noticed as well. Moreover, it's a hell of a lot more fun to lift some weights than it is to spend all day saturday on a 18 mile training run, then recovery.
I am certain no workout program is the only one i'll ever need. however, this is a great change of pace. I am more satisfied with my body now than when my running mileage was much higher. I didn't even know what a deadlift was before but now it's my favorite exercise. Thanks for sharing this article.

Eastern conference playoffs should be great next year. Boston, Miami, Orlando, Chicago, Atlanta, couple others. Who is the pre season favorite? I guess I would pick Boston if I had to bet $, but would be really nervous about Miami and Orlando.

Will Matthews get the same scrutiny as Limbaugh did when he made his McNabb statement?:
'I don't think he's been that good from the get-go. I think what we've had here is a little social concern in the NFL. I think the media has been very desirous that a black quarterback do well. They're interested in black coaches and black quarterbacks doing well. I think there's a little hope invested in McNabb and he got a lot of credit for the performance of his team that he really didn't deserve."

on the golf channel's "playing with the pros" I once heard Mark O'Meara advise that in his backswing he slowly says to himself, "Cin-dy" and then quickly in the foreswing, "Crawford."
I think my swing is more monosyllabic, a real fast "Shakira!" But hey, hips don't lie.

What if his buddy and best man in Cleveland was a part to that plot all along? Did not izzo benefit his own self in terms of recognition, recruiting visibility, etc. I'm glad he stayed at MSU, but I smell some self promotion in all of this for Izzo.

Possible reasons why Haney would quit Tiger:
a) doesn't beleive he can help his swing
b) Believes Tiger is self destructing and doesn't want to be a part of it
c) has too much money and doesn't need any more
d) Tiger takes out frustration on Haney and Haney simply doesn't want to deal with it anymore.
e) Has a better offer from another elite golfer
f) other
I'm going with b and d.

Tiger is doing the best he can given the horrible situation he has put himself and his family in. Shut down the business Tiger and reinvent himeself. He'll come out in 6-9 months as a reborn famly man, a changed man. He'll be a better golfer, a better person, and he'll be celebrated more than ever before.

What is Coach K gonna do that Larry Brown couldn't? It's all going to depend on what players decide to go. I always thought it would be great to send the NBA championship team because they would know how to play together. That will never happen because of all of the international players on the teams, witness last year's Spurs. Somehow, we need to get the best players, and give them enough time together to learn to play as a team, rather than a collection of individuals. I wonder if Shaq will go again. I remember he wasn't interested in Coach K coming to the Lakers.

I think lots of people thought of Buckner when they saw the error, but some people knew better than to acutally say it. On a damage scale of 1 to 10 (Buckner's being a 10), this one was a 3.

Heat Win Game 1 as Dirk Injures Finger
it may not be over, but it is very difficult to imagine the Heat losing 4 out of 6 games.
Bosh is playing great.
Haslem too.
Miller's contributing.
So is Chalmers.
D Wade is a little inconsistent, but finds a way to get 20+ every night.
Lebron is the best all-around player alive.
Terry and Stoyo need to get HOT.
I would say Thursday is a must-win for Dallas.
