Tigress Wie.: Michelle Wie will announce her entry into pro golf tomorrow in Hawaii. According to an NPR report last night, she'll be the richest woman golfer (hello Annika), and third richest woman athlete (behind Serena Williams and that Russian tennis player erm I forgot her name), based on a possible $13million per year in contracts w/ companies such as Nike, Sony and Casio. All this without the a single major win. Will she turn into the Anna K of golf? btw, Tiger Woods approves.

Tiger: The things I learnt at Stanford and the people I met influenced my life so dramatically," learnt? Apparantly the author of this article didn't quite make it to Stanford.

I think she'll do much better professionally than Anna K. With regards to looks, though, she's and attractive young girl, but she'll NEVER, EVER come close to Anna in that regard.

That's "an" not "and." I hate when that happens.

learnt is English (as in England) spelling. learned is American spelling. You've been schooled!

Don't be hatin'. Past tenses ending in -t are just leaving the English language in general. I've always spelt it that way.

*head in hands* Sometimes I just don't know where to start with you people. I'm still chuckling slightly about the spelling fluff in your post though mayerkyl - I get so paranoid when I start slagging off spelling or grammar that I am far more prone to mistakes. You all know how I feel about the Wiemenator - I hope it works out for her, I really do, in her life as well as her golf.

She cant become the next Anna K. because she is no where near as hot, and she might win someday.

What the world of sports needs is a male sports also-ran who's a pointless dilettante, but very good looking. Then every time you homers start talking about Barry Bonds or Tom Brady or Roger Federer, I can say, "Yeah, but [blank] is better-looking."

Jason Sehorn? That's it. No more entries. After I looked up what dillettante meant (thanks again, lbb nothing fuels my vocab like your posts), there is no better answer.

Don't forget to mention that her nickname "The Big Wiezy" is the best in golf. I can't halp but get a little nostalgic thinking of George and Louise on The Jeffesons. "Come On Weezy!"
