Tiger Shoots 66 at Dubai Classic: Tiger Woods shot a 6-under 66 in the second round at the Dubai Desert Classic, pulling him back into contention at a tournament he won in 2006 and 2008. He trails leader Rory McIlroy by four strokes. "I felt like I drove it pretty good and more than anything I controlled my traj which was nice," he said.

Uh oh..

I don't want to speak too soon but it looks like the Tiger of old is getting his game back on track.

a single round of 66 in Dubai is roughly equivalent to the current weather forecast for next Wedneday..........not a reliable prediction of anything really.

A single round of 66 shot anywhere is not a reliable prediction of anything...unless I were to shoot it, then it would be a sure indication of the pending apocalypse. For Tiger, it means nothing. His back to back rounds of 74, 75 two weeks ago are far more telling.

Traj?

/I know what he means, but really.

Also, three shots worse and it's a story headline on TMZ.

... and he's +4 for the front nine in R3, so maybe a little soon there yeah. I won a tournament yesterday, despite my traj (wtf?) being all over the place. These guys think they're so good, but none of them have ever won (or will ever win) the Rubber Traders Association of Singapore Annual Golf Tournament, so I'm definitely better than any of them.

Nice to see Sergio back on a leaderboard. I hope his time off did him some mental good. It would be too sad a story for his career to just ebb away from here. I want to see him back to his best and challenging for majors again.

Seconded. You play golf. Which is a sport that involves hours of walking between holes. You aren't so busy you need to shorten words.

Perhaps he was actually thinking, "I felt like I drove it pretty good and more than anything I controlled my traj the vag which was nice."

... and he's only 1 shot back after three rounds (tied with Sergio, even), so maybe a little soon there year.

Rubber Traders Association of Singapore Annual Golf Tournament

Well done, JJ. I bet it also has a much, much longer and more interesting history than the Dubai tournament.

Can't find your contact on your profile. Still heading to Siem Reap?

Longer and more drunken, certainly. Don't know what's up with my profile, but email is johnrollomcclure@gmail.com. Still heading up there (this day next week I think), but not sure I'm going to have as much time for messing around as I usually like to leave myself. My entirely unreasonable employers seem to be under the impression that I ought to be indulging in something they refer to rather obliquely as "work".

Anyone? I got nothing.

Tiger and Sergio played well together in todays final.

No, not really.
