This weeks's NFL games will make terrific theater.: From Romo's romp in Cabo with Jessica, to the perfect Patriots. This weekend should deliver excellent football, and if Dallas loses, plenty of tabloid commentary on Monday.
The funniest thing I have heard so far concerning Jessica Simpson was some talking head referring to her as Yoko Romo. Oh, I laughed and laughed. But if given the choice of having to stick your nose in a playbook, or sticking your nose...um...er... OK, um...going to Cabo with Jessica Simpson, for me the choice would be a no-brainer. Like Jessica Simpson. Oh football Gods, please smile upon my road NFC team this weekend.

Call me crazy but I think Jacksonville has what it takes to beat New England. A strong defensive line that could give New England's line problems along with a balanced offensive attack that boasts two solid running backs could very well lead to a major upset. Of course my belief in the Jaguars is such that I'm still picking the Pats in the pick 'em.

Yeah, taking your knockout wife to the Hamptons vs. Jessica Simpson to Cabo is rocket science. I wish they would give the guy a break. Actually, he got 67 million and the chick so who cares what the media thinks. I get so tickled at the media though as they are the ones that create these outlandish stories and then do nothing but talk about them. I doubt him getting his grind on with her two weeks prior to a game is a bad thing????????

OK Dude, you're crazy. Jags are going down in ways that would make most street walkers jealous. What is it with you guys? Your watching history in the making. Sit back and enjoy it.

I have no problem with the Patriots winning the Super Bowl, I've always been a Tom Brady fan and as a result I root for the Patriots in the playoffs (since the Lions never seem to make an appearance). However, it would be awesome for Brett Farve to win another Super Bowl.

i think you're right ying yang. i still think the pats are the champs to-be, but of everyone, i think the jags match up best against them, and are probably the best team that doesnt play their home games in foxboro

I doubt JAC will come close to winning. The Hoodie is going yo be at his devious best Saturday night. I don't view him as a coach that will allow the Patriots to lighten up. My guess is that everything Jacksonville try will be countered and JAC's strengths will be converted to weaknesses.

The Packers will win Your one and only comment and you use it to be a wet towel on my dreams. You are all hysterical woman haters! Did you read my comment at all?

Hey, I caught it canstusdis... Actually, I think the Jags will play a competitive game against the Pats. They have a far superior running game and defense, and could make things interesting if the Pats get tired. Of course, the Pats will still win, but I think it'll be closer than Saint and Cave_Man make out.

I did miss that, sorry canstusdis. And I take back nothing I said about Yoko Romo, as she will forever be known. At least for this week.

I want Brett Favre's Packers (the forces of good and right) to beat the Patriots (the forces of bad and wrong) in the Super Bowl. I know this will never, ever, ever happen. But I want it so bad.

I really believed the Jags had the best chance to win against the Pats - then I came to my senses. I believe the best game of the year might be next week if the Pats and Colts both win. What a game that would be. I am also impressed that three teams of the remaining 8 are sporting records of at least 13-3 and one perfect 16-0, yet they all seem to have their doubters. I see all four teams winning and making for the best weekend in football next weekend. The Colts could beat the Pats (maybe / maybe not). But, they match up so well and the Colts D is underrated. As for the Pack, they must get by Holmgren. I think the weather (snow) will help them unless Holmgren has a very, very good game plan. As for Dallas - NY Giants, I see this as a no-brainer. The two starting CB's are out (Madison is only doubtful) but they couldn't stop TO the first two times and if neither (or only one plays) they are at a HUGE disadvantage. Dallas has too many offensive weapons to expose them again. Add to the mix Terry Glenn who has been practicing at full speed for three or four weeks, and who would you double. TO, Glenn, Whitten, Crayton, Barber, Fasano, Hurd, Miles - see the problem. Unless they can generate an enormous pass rush which they haven't really done in the previous games - Romo will pick them apart for over 300 yards and 3-4 TD's.

You must have missed the speech police... Yes, because you saying "her kitty must be made of gold" is a priceless bit of observation and my denigrating a comment from you, the Wit of the Season, is well worth you popping into every goddamn thread to cry about it. [Here's the part where I simply wrote "Pussy", but I had to delete it because irony flies like Southwest over the point above your head, one imagines.]

...you popping into every goddamn thread to cry about it. You were saying? I believe your being over sensitive. I was trying to make a point by repeating comments made by several Cowboy fans that I know. I understand that you didn't get the point, but there's no need to brow beat me. If you didn't like the quote from Rocky, take it up with Stallone...
