Did the Thai team even know how to skate?

Thailand at least prevented the shutout when Arthit Thamwongsin hit the target after 47.15. I'm pretty sure that exact same sentence is in the "Hitchhikers' Guide to the Universe." Verbatim.

Hey, a record is a record, no matter what. Congrats to the Thai hockey team!

And the Kazakh goalie save percentage was only .800 The Kazakh team has some pretty good players and some good victories over the years, including over Slovakia at Nagano Olympics, if I recall correctly. Too bad they have to spank Thailand and the UAE to qualify - harsh on both sides of the score.

Low class as it is, why the hell was this game played? Why is there an Asian qualifier? Just seems lame as hell to even allow this kind of thing to happen. Like Roy Jones tuning up for a title fight against a kindergarden noogie champ, no sorry, qualifier.

Welcome to Kazakhstan! May I introduce our hockey team, feared throughout the Pacific Rim?

Best line in the story: Thailand is unranked. No kidding? Huh.

Man, imagine the whupping they are going to lay on the Uzbeks! Talk about a grudge match!

As the article says, the Kazhaks are ruthless. 52-1, I spit on your team and then rub my skate blade in the spittle!

Was Ken Wregget guarding the hemp hut for Thailand? I know he has a habit of giving up one or 2 bad goals a game.
