Biffle's girlfriend reprimanded for incident : Now this could be much more fun than watching Jeff Gordon push Matt Kenseth after a race.

Personally,I think the two chick thing is HOT! The next thought woud be that Kurt Busch is getting to big for his pants. There will be a time, later, in this season, that he will need a friend. It will be very interesting to see who his friends are, if he has any. I don't think you can win without friends.

"That kind of stuff was common back in the old days, everybody was fighting back then, especially the women," Wheeler said. "But there wasn't the TV coverage we have today, so it wasn't that big of a deal." Now what kind of a guy lets his woman do his fightin for him? Is Biffle a Whiffle?

oh man... Good old gender bias rears its head in nascar now too? I thought that nascar was way too cultured, refined, and evolved socially for this...

I don't think that it is gender bias, everett. Everybody knows that NASCAR is trying to get away from the 'redneck' image and try to become more mainstream. Scenes of racers' girlfriends and fiances yelling at each other is not good publicity. I think that if it were Gordon pushing Kenseth there would be consequences, or if two owners go at it there would be consequences. It's equal opportunity reprimanding in NASCAR.

they should encorage this type of activity. They could even get Johnsons baby oil to sponsor it.

Not to worry. NASCAR is just taking a page from the books of hockey, baseball, football, basketball, etc. Any publicity, good or bad, is good. It puts the sport in the headlines and things like this will also get the attention of people who are not fans and would probably never be fans. It seems that many people are more interested in ''confrontations'', wink, wink, than they are in the quality of the event which they pay outrages prices to witness.

Did it used to be WWF? Yeah. In a wonderful example of the US' intellectual property law brilliance, a bunch of panda huggers successfully argued they could be confused with a bunch of man huggers because of the similar name. And the hugging.

This could be a FOX-TV sweeps week event! Athletes' hot sig-others in mud, jello, hot oil wrestling! Kris Benson's wife vs. Phil Mickelson's! Eva Longoria (Tony Parker) vs. Mandy Moore (Andy Roddick)!
