12 Year Old Cashes in PBA Event: Kamron Doyle, 12, is the youngest to cash in a PBA event. After reading what this kid has done, I think my bowling equipment is going on Ebay tomorrow. Congratulations Kamron.

Force makes history as first female Funny Car winner: Another woman winning in a major auto sport. I think it is even better since she beat her dad in the finals. Congratulations Ashley.

Numbers prove Nelson is still King of the Wild: Maybe this is the one way to figure out who is best no matter when they played.

If you watch the reply from a head on angle, Tate clearly gets his left arm between the ball and the defensive players chest. When the ball comes in and the defensive player wraps his arms around the ball AND Tate's left arm, was that enough for the officials to say Tate caught the ball. Having his right arm wrapped around the ball didn't hurt either.

I agree with TheQatarian. If the NCAA has to punish the school, there are other ways to do it besides the "death penalty". Take away bowl games. Fine the school some outrageous amount of money.
The football program generates enough money to run all the other sports. Those student atheletes shouldn't have to suffer because there is no money to run their sport.

I was watching the race on tv when Dale had the accident. I knew from Kenny Schrader's reaction that something was seriously wrong. I think CBS knew something was wrong too because they didn't show what was going on around Dale's car the entire time they tried to remove him. The accident didn't seem that bad in comparison to so many others. It's not what you hit, it's how you hit it. Dale hit the wall pretty much head on. Going 190 mph to less than 100 mph in the blink of an eye is more than the body can take.
Dale was "old school". He never wore a closed face helmet like everyone wore back then. Head and neck restraints were just starting to come into the sport. Most drivers didn't wear one. Dale was a leader in the garage area. He went to Nascar with concerns of the drivers to help make the sport better. No one has picked that title up and ran with it. Hopefully in time someone will.
You are missed Mr. Earnhardt.

The big named racers are going to race. They don't care about Nationwide points. Some race just for the fun and some race to get information they can take to their Sprint Cup car. Do you really think Kyle Busch isn't going to race? He loves to race and so do so many of the other Sprint Cup regulars. Attendance won't be hurt at all.

In seven seasons, Payton Manning should pass Favre. If/When he does, there will be a lot more attention to it because Manning is more like Ripken and not a drama queen like Favre.

They should do like Nascar. Have a minimum speed. If you can't run the minimum speed, you are black flagged and parked.

Another reason for the booing is Danica trying her hand at NASCAR. Those die-hard Indy fans are not happy with it.

Tiger said he was going to control his outbursts on the course and conduct himself better. If the rest of the field can handle the occasional bad shot with composure while the cameras are on, why can't he?
He can't do it because he's never had to before. It is going to take time for him to change. There is no way anyone can or should expect him to be perfect his first time out. How do we know he didn't curb his tongue on other bad shots that we saw on tv? So instead of giving him the benefit of the doubt, he has to get raked over the coals for a couple outbursts. That is total crap and the media and a majority of the public should be ashamed of themselves. Everyone has a bad habit. Is it fair for your friends to give you grief if you lapse into your old habit if you're trying to quit? Give the man some support just like you would do for your friends.

I just wish the television people would get off Tiger's back. Yes, he got frustrated and said a few naughty words. All we heard on Saturday was how Tiger disappointed us by his outburst and he didn't do what he said he would. Give the man a break for crying out loud. Do they really expect him to change over night? If they do, they are insane. Tiger expects the very best from himself and when he doesn't, he is going to get frustrated. Sometime to the point of saying a few words he shouldn't. Bobby Jones was no angel on the golf course either. It took time and he changed. Give Tiger time too.
As far as Tiger's game goes; if he had played at worst, even through the first 6 holes and made a birdie istead of a 3 putt bogie, he is right there at the end. When he gets the kinks worked out, he is going to be primed to dominate again.

Why is the NCAA tinkering with basketball? They should be working on how to have a real National Champion for football.

Aston Martin driver Allan Simonsen killed.
It is always tragic to lose someone in auto racing accident or any other kind of accident for that matter. I hope LeMans will take steps to make the barriers safer. I understand a lot of the track consists of country roads but steps should be taken to help make the racing safer.
