Force makes history as first female Funny Car winner: Another woman winning in a major auto sport. I think it is even better since she beat her dad in the finals. Congratulations Ashley.

Big win, but I've let my daughter win at things before if it would mean a lot to her, too. It's just a little fishy this historical victory comes against her dad. That being said, there's practically no way of ever proving it wasn't a earned-win. Dad barely got off the start.

...to deny him his 1,000 winning round in his 500th NHRA tour event... ...dad was never in it, losing traction almost at the hit of the throttle... ...second career win against her father, drag racing’s biggest winner... I really don't see where you get the idea he "let" her win. John Force is too much of a competitor to give a race away. True, he didn't give her much of a run, losing traction, but that could happen to any driver any time. Or maybe my sarcasm meter needs adjusting.

I thought about that possibility too, dyams. I guess it goes back to the statement "They don't ask how, they ask how many." Congrats to the Force family who will be celebrating another accomplishment here in good 'ol St. Lou. (Provided John wins, of course.)

I really don't see where you get the idea he "let" her win. I didn't actually come out and say he let her win. What I said is I've let my daughter win a things many times, thinking she'd get more out of a victory in a certain situation than I would. I guess I shouldn't have used the word "too." It's just a bit ironic. And competitor or not, it's his daughter, his own flesh and blood, not just another opponent.

Ok, dyams, I took you the wrong way. I know what you mean by "...his daughter, his own flesh and blood.." but my opinion is I don't think he let her win just because she is blood. So I will leave it at that.

Drag racing is dull. I prefer my racing to last longer than an orgasm.

You really should not be around John Force if he hears you say that he let his daughter win. I am not sure but what the 58/59 man might not just tear you apart if not physically at least mentally.

Drood keep your asshole comments in canada. The only orgasm you probably get is from your own hand. Don't comment if you don't have something to actually SAY.

Wow, the irony of that comment just broke my Ironograph.

Ashley seems to be a Force to be reckoned with. Kudos to her on her win. Apparently April isn't the cruelest month for women racers.
