Are you ready for some football?: DJ Gallo: On Thursday, the NFL released its schedule for the 2006 season. And although it's pointless to try to analyze it and weigh strength of schedules and such when the draft is still to be held and September is still five months away, pointlessness never stopped me from writing before. Take a look at some of the key games from each week of the 2006 NFL schedule.
Raiders and Chargers on the first Monday Nighter of the year? Well, at least they're stuck at 10.15 where I can ignore them. I gave up watching Aaron Brooks for Lent.

TBH > I gave up watching Aaron Brooks for Lent. And I think I made a big mistake, may I please have my Lent back. kbs122, it is to bad the NFL waited till week 4 to schedual that one. I was hopeing it would be earlier. Best of week one, MNF debuts on ESPN -- Hopefully, all the action will mean no time for a Tim McGraw musical recap of the previous day's games.

Some funny stuff in that link. I liked the comment on the Philadelphia at Indianapolis game. Ooh, low blow.

...we texans fans, however, will have to leave church early every sunday (praying for a decent season) since 15 of the 16 games start at noon. Those noon starts are a killer. Although, its not leaving church early that gets me...its popping the tab on your first cold beer at the 9 A.M. tailgate party that gets tricky. Even trickier will be sitting through an entire Texans game if they do not improve their offensive line.

They might look better with your beer buzz

I guess we RAIDERS are the Rodney Dangerfields of the NFL, No Respect DJ Gallo. Were going to surprise this year, stay tuned. What are the odds of Favre playing for the Raiders this year? Just asking!

Houston's O-Line WILL define their season...I sure hope Mike Sherman is up the task of coaching those guys...

ah well, There is always the chance that your team will get a sunday game moved to Sunday night in weeks 10-15, or 17. Unless of course, it gets protected by CBS or Fox, or if they already have had 6 primetime games, but they can get two sunday night games in a row.....does anyone really understand how this flex-scheduling os going to work? And do I need to worry about making the 14 hour drive back from Detroit to get home to work on Monday? Any chance they will get switched to Sunday night come December???

I think the opener, Miami @ Pittsburg, should be a pretty good game and could be an indicator of how the season may go for the 2 teams. I'm not too interested in what reception T.O. will get when he goes back to Philly in wk. 5. Don't we all know what it will be? New Orleans acquisition of Drew Brees will improve but not enough to really matter, at least not with that defense anyways. Kinda cool that K.C. got a Thanksgiving game, though it will be on the NFL Network. Couldn't they at least put it on ESPN or ESPN2? Here's my Super Bowl prediction(if anyone cares). Indianapolis over Washington. Trendy or maybe predictable, yes, but if these two teams get together on that fateful day in February, it could be a pretty good one.

Sorry people but we're gonna see a repeat of last year, yes that's right Steelers rule.

Sorry people Hey! No need to apologize. Your insightful and complete breakdown of the Steelers is what many of us here at Spofi look forward to reading. Inside knowledge is always appreciated. Keep up the good work!

I don't think that the 'Hawks will dominate anyone. They came close, but now I see them back to 8-8, 9-7. The Steelers played a poor game and beat them. I think the Steelers need a center in this draft -- someone to groom for a year. No predictions for this fan -- yet

Seahawks will dominate on their way to SuperBowl 41. posted by ggermanctl@sbcglobal at 10:55 AM CST on April 8 Well since we know they will get Arizona, St. Louis, and San Francisco each twice, it is reasonable to assume they may make the playoffs, the same overated and relatively untested team that got beat by Pittsburg's off game this year. They are not a dominate team just the recipient of an easy schedule and easy division. Beware of the Rams within the division, as bad as they are, to surprise them out of the playoffs.

Seahawks will dominate on their way to SuperBowl 41. posted by ggermanctl@sbcglobal at 10:55 AM CST on April 8 I think that the Seahawks will make it to the super bowl but will lose to the Colts. I am still waiting for the Colts to convert one of their last three great seasons into a championship. This is the year!!
