Pontiac Silverdome Up for Auction: The city of Pontiac, Mich., is auctioning off the Silverdome, the 80,000-seat stadium that hosted Super Bowl XVI in 1982, the first-ever indoor World Cup match in 1994 and was home to the Detroit Lions and Detroit Pistons. When it was built 34 years ago, the Silverdome was the biggest stadium in the NFL and cost $55.7 million.
The Silverdome link listed above takes you to the Wikipedia entry, the first line of which describes the facility as a "doomed" stadium.

Doomed is probably not a typo.

This makes me think of an episode of the Simpsons where Bart bought a factory for a dollar at an auction. Classic stuff.

Dang, someone fixed the Wiki entry. Now it says domed. Still a good story.

Mmmm......pie.
Let's just say we were to buy the Silverdoom. Is it possible we could relocate it? I need a place to park my RV for the winter.

Yer all out of luck. FEMA is taking it over by eminent domain as an emergency shelter so they can cram a mass of suffering humanity into it next time a major hurricane comes whistling through Detroit.

I think the Silverdome would fit inside Telemanjaro.
