It's about that time of year: Yahoo has opened up registration for fantasy baseball. So it's probably a good time to get the Roto league going.
I am down for fantasy baseball! If anyone wants to do the oddball stats league again, I'd be down for that as well (we selected the more obscure stats to track like putouts, triples, etc, instead of the RBI, Runs, HRs).

I don't know about this fantasy baseball thing. I signed up for one of these SpoFi leagues last year, and nobody showed up to the draft. I waited three pina coladas. Then I went home and stared out the window. You know, I don't think anybody ever really planned to go to that draft.

Roto's for suckers, h2h is where it's at. Maybe start a second thread for that. I know there was a h2h league whose settings could be cloned from last year. I wasn't in it though.

Yahoo will make your picks automatically if you can't attend. They have a ranked list of players which you can modify prior to the draft to your liking. There's always a few people who auto-draft.

I almost went with Scrantonicity as a team name. If anyone wants to steal that, go for it. Just this weekend, I was wondering the same about Matsuzaka. A lot of new Asian players in this year's draft. I am so excited for baseball and getting my flower gardens started. Keeps me going everytime I am outside and almost slip, fall and die on the ice.

I read this and laughed for about five straight minutes, I swear. There's a vicious rumor that it might get above freezing here tomorrow. I'll be in Boston, of course, where I hope the Frozen Slush of Death will have become slightly less deadly (it really was about the worst I've ever seen, and I lived in Boston for twelve years).

It's above freezing here today and tomorrow. But its just going to ice up overnight. Should be awesome morning commuting! ... as long as it melts slowly. Too much water runoff is going to end up in my basement... again.

I just threw a temper-tantrum in my driveway because of this crap. F-bombs echoing off my neighbors' houses. It was pretty pathetic. All I want is to be able to park without playing musical cars with the wifey... but noooo, not with this crap. It's above freezing here, but all it's doing is making the snow and ice (snice, or better yet, snit) bond with the asphalt. I've been through plenty of sleet and ice storms, but I've never dealt with anything this obnoxious in my life.
