My only prediction: The Twins will stink, but Ron Gardenhire will continue to be bizarrely cool.

I'm debating if I should go the homer route and throw the brewers in as the NL wild card.

NL Rookie of the Year: Prince Fielder. How's that tron?

Same problem here tron - Will the Jays actually unseat one of the Yankees/Red Sox or other Wild card threats out west and central (Indians/A's/Angels)? My heart says yes, but my brain says maybe.

My heart says yes, but my brain says maybe. Go with your colon. I think it's the best option when looking at the last decade of major professional Toronto sports.

How much money to the winner? What's the scoring system? So many questions!

I think that this could be even better if we come up with a scoring system. Obviously it won't come into play until October but it would still be fun. Well, someone could set up a confidence pool, except with a twist. For the AL, pick 7 teams and rank them +7 to +1, and the remaining 7 teams you rank -1 to -7. For the NL, pick 8 teams and rank them +8 to +1, and the remaining 8 teams you rank -1 to -8. Just like regular confidence pools, you get points for every win, depending on how many you assign each team. So if I ranked Toronto a +2, then every win for them would be worth 2 points for me. If I ranked KC -7, then every win for them would be -7 points for me. Obviously you want to rank the teams with the most wins at +7 and the losingest teams at -7. Why this method? It means you have to be good at picking the big winners AND the big losers. As well, it keeps the scores a little closer.

That is an amazing idea grum. However, I won't be suprised if DrJohnEvans avoids this thread to avoid getting drafted into being in charge.

I second that nomination.

I got my picks, I was hoping one of our more technically inclinde spofi members with oddles of free time on their hands would be down to do something like the Olympic hockey pool again. I'd offer my services but I'm completely useless and extremly unreliable.

I want to take this opportunity to point out that the Brewers are on pace to win 162 games this year, which would likely be enough to win the NL Central. That is all.
