Feature Requests: Reloaded (more inside, well, all inside since there ain't nothing to the teaser)

Since it's here, I'll add one more: Can we get links to user columns on that individual's user page? I'd also like the ability to see through walls and be completely satiated by the consumption of a single seedless grape.

does anybody still have the bug that when you hit the front page for the first time it seems like your not logged in...but once you enter a thread (or the lockerroom) you are then recognized?? i remember this being reported early on, but nobody complained recently that i know of. i definately still experience the problem and would like to see it fixed before new features are added.

How about a new SpoFi category: "Drug Related" or "Arrested"? Speaking of Flash games, will somebody post one for chrissake? I'm getting an awful lot of work done today...

gspm, calling me Billy again will earn you a major spanking, got it?

I get that on Mozilla 1.4, danostuporstar, but curiously not on Mozilla Firebird. The one thing I'd like to see is an option, when posting, not to translate end-of-line characters into <br /> tags. Doing so would remove an annoying step for those posting, say, tables in fantasy-league threads.

Right on taupe!

Book'em, dano. (I've always wanted to say that.) I have the same (not logged in first time, then auto-logged in the next) problem at home, but not at the office (use the same browser: NN7.0).

gspm, calling me Billy again will earn you a major spanking, got it? shit, sorry. I guess I: 1. never noticed, 2. didn't copy and paste your username, 3. have always read it as a billysaysthis cause you seem just so darn chummy. careless but honest mistake.

Who is Maj. Spanking? And what other prerequisites are needed besides calling you billy?

Doing so would remove an annoying step for those posting, say, tables in fantasy-league threads. Whilst this might be annoying when creating tables, this option is only going to confuse people. Do you guys (i.e. pantheon) want any help? I'm good with databases and can help with HTML if you like. Mail me privately if so.

I'm more than willing to clean up the mess I've made and make the buttons available in Moz. I'd also be willing to extend them so we have a small button or whatever else. As for the tables, a wizard would be possible, but I don't know if it'd be more of a help than a hindrance.

Me mum is the only one what's allowed to call me Billy.

Yeah, well, tables are more of a hindrance than a help, given they're semantically meaningless 99% of the time. Fantasy stats are tabular data though. Don't you see the importance? Good God. It's so important.

Pantheon, I can help with the ball bearings.

It's all ball bearings these days. BTW, when's our next interview? Bill(y)saysthis is practically begging to be interviewed, but 86 told me an interesting story tonight about how he killed a hobo in St. Louis. Let's make interviews a permanent part of the locker room.

Also, user_ID seems be getting output on this page. More of a debug than a bug.

I only beg for really hot women and now that I'm married, that's over with. The begging, that is, since my wife is really hot.

Several feature requests have been floated in the past few months and I don't know if any of them have been implemented. So, powers that be, here is a compilation of various recent requests that can reopen discussion and perhaps permit updates on whether these requests have a chance to being implemented. Some are complex, some might only take a few minutes. Some are months old and may have dropped off the radar because the locker room front page is only five items deep. the list They can do it on MeFi so why not here: ability to sort threads by newest comments (lilnemo) They can do it on MeFi so why not here: broswer detection goodness for Mozilla (yerfatma) New Locker Room Category: Fantasy Sports (possibly coming soon, says rcade) New Locker Room Category: Interviews (gspm) New SpoFi Category: Time-Wasting-Flash-Games (Ufez Jones) or Online Game (grum) Locker Room Sidebar: for front pages of active fantasy leagues (billysaysthis) Sidebar: a place for a collaborative feed of quick hit news items (discussed but never fully shot down) Comment Counter for Columns: (billysaysthis) coming soon? User Preference: User customizable time zone (Big Calm)
