Lavon Chisley will be arrested today in the June stabbing death of a friend and Penn State senior. With "friend"s like that.....

My son has been accepted at Penn State (among other places). Maybe he should consider somewhere else?

Not being a lawyer I don't quite get how one death can result in first and third degree homicide charges unless this a tactic to allow the jury to consider the lesser charge. Either way stabbing someone 93 times sure seems beyond excessive or passionate.

The first degree charge is up because they think theft and/or torture was involved. If they can't prove that, then I guess it's just third. For lack of a better phrase, this sort of closes a dark stretch in PSU football. There were a bunch of arrests, legal problems, kids kicked off the team, etc coinciding with the losing seasons. It seems they've limited that kind of behavior. As for State College, it is one of the greatest town in the country. Big town fun and convenience with a very small town charm. Stuff like this typically just does not happen. And Penn State is a wonderful school.

And wouldn't you know that there is and ad promoting a book of JoePa's 40 years in Penn State football.

Just a little ironic that a guy who went to school at Penn State might eventually graduate from the State Pen.

Let's not forget our lesson from the Duke lacrosse case - maybe the victim will withdraw the charges

If there was a joke(I do get it, and loved it) it was probably missed around stab #32.

Stabbed and slashed 93 times and the motive was robbery? sounds a little more personal to me. I mean, if your just taking his money, 93 times sounds like a bit of over kill.

stabbed 93 times Well, if he did it, I'm sure it was just an accident. Ouch.
