No room left for Hasek after Sens re-sign Emery: The Ottawa Senators' crease has no room left for Dominik Hasek.

Personally, I would rather have Belfour than Hasek again. If those are your two best choices, I recommend hibernation.

It wasn't much of a choice. Emery did a bang-up job this year, he'll be even better next year, and he'll still be making less than a third of what Hasek would want. Oh yeah, and Emery is eighteen years younger than Hasek. This was a no-brainer.

And after letting go of Manny, the Wings are beggers again. Damn it!

What the hell were they thinking?

Speaking of goalies... the Devils signed Zach Parise's younger brother Jordan. I guess the Devils don't want another Neidermeyer situation. I thought Emery played very well. No-brainer indeed. The question is: will any team take a chance on Hasek? Flyers maybe?

Oh yeah, someone will definately take a chance on him. Nothing longterm though. A one and done is all he will get anymore.

And after letting go of Manny, the Wings are beggers again. Damn it! Rumor in Buffalo is a trade between the Sabres and Wings for Sabres' goalie Marty Biron.

will any team take a chance on Hasek? Flyers maybe? A) Why would the Flyers want him? B) How could they afford him? They have two serviceable goalies in Antero Niittymaki and Robert Esche. Either one is a quality starter if they can get a hint of a defense in front of them. Even Hasek in his prime couldn't have stopped the gazillion odd-man rushes they saw in the playoff series vs. Buffalo. Goalie is definitely not the Flyers' problem right now. Speaking of Buffalo, what is going to happen with almost half their players requesting arbitration? Will they have cap issues?

Well, throw his name in the hat for a possible Red Wing. WingFilter!

Buffalo better not let go of Biron. If that defence stays intact in front of him, he's a Vezina candidate.

Send Hasek to the Stars!!

Ryan Miller is the starter in Buffalo Chico. Biron wants to be a number one again. Detroit would be smart to get him.

Belfour went for a physical at the request of the Red Wings, and they are prepared to offer him a one-year contract if he passes it.

I don't know how reliable the Ice Chips are, but supposedly Belfour passed the physical. The Eagle may soar again. I can't wait to see his new mask.

I suspect some kind of winged design is in order. Also, maybe a walker and a Geritol sponsorship. And some liver spots drawn on the mask, the same way Gerry Cheevers had scars. And a glass for his dentures. (What I'm saying is, he's getting up there in years, people. [tap, tap] Is this thing on?)

Send Hasek to the Stars!! If only they would, but Turco is locked up for quite a while. But I'm sure the Wings (WingFilter!) would gladly take Marty off of your hands.

BELFOUR came to Detroit for a physical that tells us they want to sign him the only way hes not in a wings uniform next year is if he doesnt pass and i hope he does because he is older guy but still has alot left to give a team like Detroit if he doesnt pass GIGGY,BIRON,NABOKOV are next on the list they are all great goalies and as a Detroit fan I would like anyone of those guys in a Wings uniform it all comes down too who they can get cheapier here are my picks if BELFOUR doesnt pass and sign they are BIRON first then NABOKOV and then GIGGY the list is as far as who they can get cheapier now who i like and think is better that would go to GIGGY then BELFOUR,NABOKOV,BIRON and i say NABOKOV before BIRON only because he has some playoff games if BIRON had any playoff games to his credit then i would say him first. Now for TURCO i dont think so he is a good goalie but his playoff record is another story and if the Wings got rid of LEGACE because of his playoff record(and remember it was the d in front of him not MANNY at all) they want nothing to do with TURCO who come on hes good but SUCKS in the playoffs ,I think the STARS are upset with themselfs for giving him the big contract like they did i know i would be

and remember it was the d in front of him not MANNY at all) did you watch any of the games my kid nephew could have played better his mannerism after a goal was sluggish and in no way helped the moral of his team your telling me the detroit d is weak , wow if i recall they have multiple norris trophy winners back there oh and i would love to see giggy in detroit they need someone young, please no belfour but i'd take hasek anyday 30 healthy games from april thru june is all he needs

Well, lookie here! We got ourselves some unconventional writers here on Spofi. DADSQUEST writes like e. e. cummings. It's kind of pretty, and I especially like: your telling me the detroit d is weak , wow I also think that every team should have a moral. I'd never really thought about it before. I think the moral of Boston's last year was: "Don't count your chickens before they hatch." So much promise, but that Zhamnov thing didn't work out too well. Hopefully they didn't do the same thing with Savard.
