I love how egotistical religious people are. Apparently god saved Ben Roethlisberger's life. I wonder why god cares about a pampered 25 year old super bowl winner but could give a shit about 80% of the people living in Africa? I guess god just likes people who are spoiled and reckless. I mean, honestly, that's who I'd look after if I were in charge.

I'm sorry for generalizing in the past post. Obviously, not all religious people are egotistical. I should have said: I love how egotistical most religious people are.

Hmmm, I guess God's a Steelers fan too. Or not. Some people get the sense knocked into them, looks like Ben got the God knocked into him. I wonder if he gets hit on the head if we can knock it out of him?

Listen the guy is all of 24 right? The man made a mistake and from wht the headline says he will start wearing a helmet. Another endorsement or should I say a message that he will about helmet use to bring himself back into the good graces of the Steeler family and I am not talking about the players. Rather the Rooneys and Bill Cowher. I would hate to have to face him after something like this.

The cynic in me says this is more about P.R. and less about some great epiphany. Whats he going to say, I did'nt get hurt as bad as everyone thought and I'm still not going to wear a helmet. I doubt he will be allowed to ride again before he's done playing, but I wouldn't read to much into any statements that are forthcoming from Big Ben. I'm sure for the time being hes going to say what he is expected to say as a roll model and to keep the power's that be happy.

I hope he does wear a helmet next time he rides a motorcycle (though it doesn't completely guarantee that the same thing couldn't happen again.) P.R. or not--and I'm sure anyone with a modicum of fame acts with image in mind--I'm just glad he's alive. He was VERY fortunate that he didn't suffer even greater injuries--or die!
