Vikings not passing up Culpepper trade: Teams in need of quarterbacks include Miami, New Orleans, Detroit, the New York Jets, the Baltimore Ravens and the Oakland Raiders, who still have not released Kerry Collins, even if it has been reported that they have. Please not Detroit! We have Harrington!

Culpepper is out with an injury, about to go to court re: the "Love Boat" scandal and yet he continues to inflate his own value. Your boat is sailing Culpepper...bon voyage.

If I was Culpepper, I would be dying to leave a club that going nowwhere also. Culpepper is a big reason they were going nowhere. His salary doesnt match his lack of ability. B. Johnson is a much better QUARTERBACK for Minnesota's offense. He is also a much better leader. His success while Culpepper was down only proves it. Culpepper will sign with Oaktown and the Raiders will finally fall off the face of the earth.

Look at him...even if he did lose his mobility, the worst that could happen to him would that he'd become Byron Leftwich...who isn't that bad after all. But the point is, he's still a pretty good QB who just needs a change of scenery... This could end up being the year a lot of pretty good QB's switch places. Brees is a lock to end up elsewhere, and Collins wasn't that bad last season (Turner's offense just didn't work last season). Throw in Daunte and this could be a nice trade off for the year.

Culpepper will be reunited with Rrrrrrandddddy moss and culpepper still isn't that bad... i think he will flourish more with oakland than minnesota with former coach Mike Lice...

Culpepper can get that money he wants! All he has to do is go to New York and put on a Knicks uniform and there you have it! Zeke would love to have an overpaid big body that does nothing but complain, underachieve with pending injuries every night...oh wait a minute, isn't that Eddie Curry?

I don't believe Daunte and Randy could co-exist again. The Fins are looking at Brees, so I think the Ravens would be a good match for Culpepper. The Saints will take Leinart or Young, whichever is there. As a Bear fan, hopefully the Lions keep Harrington cuz he SUCKS out loud !!

How do you go from having one of the worst injuries in football, and then ask for more money. His hands are too small to get a good grip on the ball, he fumbles way too much, and his confidence is shot since he lost Moss as a receiver. As a Vikings fan, I say don't let the door catch you in the ass on the way out. We can use the money elsewhere.

I see alot of people saying Culpepper's washed up after one bad year?! Look at the guy's 04' stats! MAYBE he'll have a tough time coming back from the knee injury but he has a huge upside.

Last year's stats: 6 touchdowns, 12 interceptions, 2-5 record. That plus the Love Boat plus Brad Johnson's success puts Duante in a very weak bargaining position. "Give me more money or you're stuck with a Super Bowl-winning quarterback who went 7-2." Johnson almost dug them out of the deep hole Culpeper put them in. I admire him as a player, but I think he's a crybaby for asking for a raise when he was due for a $6,000,000 bonus this month. And the Vikings aren't a team that's going nowhere. They finished very strong last year, they've got a new (and hopefully competant) coach, they're fixing their defense, and they've got a lot of salary cap room.

Culpepper is expected to go to the Raiders but I don't think that would be a good move. Culpepper and Moss didn't get along in Minnesota and I'm sure it will be the same in oakland. Plus oakland's new head coach is an ex o-lineman which means he will probabaly want to run the ball.

nort, I don't really know if Oakland would go to a run-first offense. With the assets they have at the WR (mainly Moss, then Porter), they'd be crazy to get away from the passing game. They just need the right QB (which will be Culpepper) to run the offense. I do think that there will be a more balanced offense when it's all said and done. LaMont Jordan is emerging as a valuable back that can block during the pass, so the Raiders should go far on their play-actions. Right now, the X-factor will be if Culpepper is still as mobile as he was before that devastating knee injury.

Culpepper may have a hard time coming back from that knee injury, only time will tell. As a Raiders fan and ticket holder, I'am willing to wait. As far as He and Moss getting along that's a moot point! Different team, coach, situation. Yes Shell was an ex o-lineman, Correct me if I'am wrong. Don't you have to establish the run game for the pass to work?

Well, as kirk alluded to I don't think the stats really show that, at all. Culpepper to Moss was one of the most feared tandems in the NFL.
